6 Credentialed Pilots Attention Generation Z -or teenagers ages Are you aware of our First s Lady s new public awareness campaign, Up Next. FYI, Up Next is Better Make Room s mobile messaging campaign that gives students and families across the country FREE personalized support on all things college college search and application, federal student aid, even student loan repayment all through texting. Students simply text COLLEGE to to sign up for Up Next. Better Make Room will also introduce various innovations in the Up Next content over time, from embedding images, to providing opportunities for students to ask personal questions and receive one -on-one college advising. The campaign specifically targets underserved high school and college students, though anyone can text in and receive the services. Up Next is completely free. Students only pay for messages they receive if they are on a cellular plan that charges per message costs. The first message students receive will inform them that standard messaging rates apply. You can also opt out at any time by texting STOP. college after freshman year. Parents can also sign up as it is designed to help families navigate a student s college enrollment and completion. Parents can just text COLLEGE to and answer questions about their child to get started. Nearly $3 billion in free federal grants goes unused each year due to eligible students not applying for financial aid. To learn more about Better Make Room: Congratulations to Mr. Houghton. He has been ranked as #1 among his peers for both the highest number of students credentialed (27), as well as the highest pass rate (averaging 87%) in his Aerospace Dual Enrollment classes for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was awarded a $500 success in STEM award for his efforts by the Gaetz Aerospace Institute dual enrollment program. We thank you Mr. Houghton for your hard work and devotion of this program, and your commitment to educating our next generation at CFAA. You are our rockstar at KHS! Scottie Larson leads the FCA meeting at the CFAA campus. Meetings are Friday mornings at 6:40 in the CFAA Media Center. Students take turns leading the devotion. Thank you CFAA students! Monica Rodriguez gets ready to tee off against her Ridge opponent. The girls golf team par cipated in the district tournament on October 11, placing sixth overall. This marks the end of our regular season. If you want to get involved next year, please contact Coach Sasser. Marlene Nolasco is putting to finish the hole
