2 Commander s Report Rick Hibbs, Cdr Well we finally got into Spring, and might even see some summer soon! My boat is in the water, just about ready for July 4th cruise, and I hope you all are there or getting there! We had a great picnic at our June meeting, attendance at 52, up from last year. My sincere thanks to Rita Parks for her help in making it a success, and to Joe and his crew of kitchen elves!! Next event: RENDEZVOUS!! See the info elsewhere in this issue, and get your reservations in early, it really helps the planners! My large class of SAILers finished up their exams, and are awaiting results. It was a fun class all around, and I'm trying to make the rounds of "practical" instruction with the class either on their boat or mine. Expect a Sail Activity at Rendezvous, and a bunch of fun new members joining us. (Hey Sail Class, that's a hint!!) August is relax time, with no planned events, but watch for a flyer announcing fall course offerings, which might include a late August start to include on the water instruction!
