1 October 5, 2017 RE: Exhibit Invitation to 9 th Expert Strategies Conference It is our pleasure to inform you that the previously successful conference 9 th Expert Strategies in Endoscopy, Gastrointestinal and Liver Diseases will be held on March 10, 2018 in Kansas City. As you recall, this successful venture was held in March 2017 and had more than 250 attendees. This meeting encompasses various common and controversial topics in gastrointestinal diseases and endoscopy that will be discussed by top notch international and national faculty. The key highlights of this CME/CNE accredited meeting include: State of the Art Lectures Hands on session Expert International and National faculty Interactive audience polling The highlight of the conference is the state of the art lectures given by national and international experts on common GI and Liver issues including IBD, Functional Bowel, Gastroparesis, Hepatitis C, Fatty Liver Disease, Obesity, GERD, Barrett s, Esophagus, GI Cancers, ETC. The hands on session was by far the most popular item; clipping, stenting, closing perforations, cryotherapy, RFA, hemostasis, cauterization, argon gas, EMR, ESD, ablation, snare techniques, injection needles, use of HD endoscopes, etc. are all going to be highlighted again. We also plan a separate nurses and GI fellows hands on session this year for them to gain familiarity with various endoscopic tools and techniques (Continuing education will be provided). The attendees have rated this conference highly specifically to the point lectures on practical aspects to manage IBD, functional bowel diseases, liver diseases, constipation and endoscopic cases. We anticipate 300 attendees (175 clinical gastroenterologists, endoscopists, hepatologists; 125 gastroenterology nurses and advanced practice registered nurses and other health care professionals. 7 GREETINGS We would like to welcome you to another issue of our Expert Strategies in Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and Liver Disorders program to be held on March 10, Based on feedback received from several of you who have attended this program in the past, we have kept our focus on the important hands-on sessions dealing with important technological advances in endoscopy, as well as having you learn from the Masters in Endoscopy. We also feature a post-graduate course format of brief, to-the-point, state-of-the-art lectures by international and national experts in the field of inflammatory bowel disease, hepatology and endoscopy. Our state-of-the-art course will include a full day of clinically relevant topics that will be extremely useful as we strive to update you in the ever changing field of medicine. We are pleased to invite you to attend this program in the heart of the Midwest Kansas City at the InterContinental Hotel on the Country Club Plaza. Kenneth Wang, M.D. Past President ASGE Mayo Clinic College of Medicine OVERVIEW The program s goal is to improve participants competence and practice performance by providing cutting edge information on endoscopy, gastroenterology and liver diseases through state of the art lectures and hands on endoscopy sessions taught by an international faculty of experts in the field. The hands on session in the afternoon is by far the most needed educational session based on performance gap analysis. This popular session includes demonstration of the following techniques, with opportunities for participants to practice techniques learned: clipping, stenting, closing perforations, cryotherapy, RFA, hemostasis, cauterization, argon gas, EMR, ESD, ablation, snare techniques, injection needles, use of HD endoscopes, etc. We also plan to have a nurses and GI fellows hands on session for them to gain familiarity with various endoscopic tools and techniques. The morning educational session presentations will educate participants on common and controversial topics in endoscopy, gastrointestinal and liver diseases in preparation for afternoon hands-on sessions. Morning sessions will include interactive audience polling and Q&A sessions where participants can receive expert feedback. TARGET AUDIENCE This is a conference targeted towards clinical gastroenterologists, endoscopists, hepatologists, advanced practice registered nurses, nurses and other health care professionals. OBJECTIVES At the completion of this symposium, participants should be able to: Practice acquired skills using endoscopic diagnostic tools for proper placement of endoluminal stents, mucosal ablation, hemostasis, endoscopic resection and advanced techniques to improve accuracy in making diagnoses, through hands-on workshops. Use appropriate therapy for patients with viral hepatitis, and colon cancer screening and surveillance, utilizing the most recent guidelines to improve patient outcomes. Formulate an evidence-based approach to inflammatory bowel disease, GERD and functional bowel management by utilizing new therapies.
