You will also provide training to a wide variety of professionals/carers within the Learning Disability Service. The successful candidate would be expected to have significant clinical experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be educated to degree level or hold a professional qualification e.g.

You may also have a recognised qualification in behaviours that challenge and/or mental health or must be willing to undertake such qualifications. As part of your role you will support the ICIS team members undertake psychological assessments and interventions, teaching activities, clinically relevant research and audit. The successful candidate will not be expected to hold their own case load but will support the team members. All your work will be supervised by a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. The successful candidate would be expected to have a good honours degree in Psychology, excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, a good standard of computer literacy and be competent in research skills. Your hours of duty will largely be 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday but you may occasionally need to work evenings or weekends.
