Rick will review the 2016 Legislative Day event and some of the results that have already blossomed from those meetings. 4 Speaker Bios Day Egusquiza, President, AR Systems, Inc. Day Egusquiza brings over 30 years experience in health care reimbursement, hospital business office operations (20 years in an Idaho hospital), contracting and compliance implementation. Additionally, her experience includes eight years as a Director of a Physician Medical Management billing service awhich included completing an integrated business office between a hospital and a large physician clinic. She has been an entrepreneur in hospital and physician practice accounts receivable management and a leader in redesigning numerous organizations. Her work includes providing guidance as a compliance & reimbursement educator while providing operational insight on the revenue cycle impacts of RAC/Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors. Additionally, she has been instrumental in researching and preparing national education on the impact of the Prescription Drug Benefit. ICD 10 is also on the list of fun projects with audit and boot camps. Day s strength is her ability to operationalize complex regulations into teachable components. Ms Egusquiza is a nationally recognized speaker on continuous quality improvement (CQI), benchmarking, redesigning, reimbursement systems and implementing an operational focus of compliance- both in hospitals and practices. She has been on the AAHAM National Advisory Council, HFMA National Advisory Council, is a past President of the Idaho HFMA Chapter & recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award. She has been highlighted in JCAHO s Six Hospitals in Search of Excellence, Zimmerman s Receivable Report, HFMA s HFM and Patient Account, AHIA Prospective, and numerous healthcare newsletters along with a contributing author to 2006 Health Law and Compliance Update. She received the Idaho Hospital Association Distinguished Service Award for her legislative work and training on new indigent law. Attendees at HFMA s ANI rated her in the top 25% for each year she has presented, earning her the Distinguished Speaker award. Her greatest accomplishments are her four wonderful children and her eight fabulous grandchildren. What makes her unique? She has been in the trenches with us! Rochelle Dahmen, Revenue Cycle Manager, Eide Bailly Rochelle has more than 14 years of health care experience, including more than three years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota and more than ten years working in multiple health care organizations across the country. Specializing in revenue cycle and technology implementations, she has assisted health systems throughout the country with chargemaster assessments, compliance reviews, charge capture improvements, as well as, electronic health record implementations, conversions and optimizations. Rochelle brings strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of the revenue cycle that allow her to quickly identify issues and create solutions to improve revenue cycle performance. Rochelle holds the Epic Resolute Professional Certification designation and is located in the Eide Bailly Minneapolis, MN office. Roberta Collins - CEO/ Consultant at Advantage Billing Concepts, Inc. Since January of 1999, she has been the CEO/ Consultant at Advantage Billing Concepts, Inc. And since January of 2014, the Supervisor/ Coding and Billing at Fairview Range. For the last 15 years Roberta has been a Medical Coding Instructor at Hibbing Community College. And of course you all known her as a Gopher Chapter Board Chair and President. She also serves as the National AAHAM Legislative Board Chair.

5 Speaker Bios Joe Schindler - Vice President of Finance Minnesota Hospital Association Healthcare Experience: Mr. Schindler is Vice President of Finance for MHA and has over two decades of experience in health care finance policy with the Minnesota Hospital Association. Mr. Schindler is a hospital finance policy development expert. He advocates for fair reimbursement policies, provides leadership for hospital industry financial standards and analyzes the financial impact of state and federal mandates and regulations. He is a board member of the Minnesota chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association, provides support for the Minnesota Account Managers Association (MAMA) to keep track of billing and collections issues, and provides hospital representation on the state s Administrative Uniformity Committee (AUC) to develop standardized electronic eligibility, claims and reminttance transactions between payers and providers. Education: Mr. Schindler has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas. Richard Rogers, Chair Person, MN AAHAM & National AAHAM Government Relations Committee Chair A graduate of Marquette University, Rick has been in the healthcare industry since 1986; working in clinical medicine, healthcare IT and the healthcare revenue cycle. Rick was introduced to AAHAM in 1999 and since then he has been active in the WI, IL, NE and MN Chapters. Rick currently serves as the Board Chair of the MN Gopher Chapter and was selected by the National Board to serve in his current national capacity as Chair of the National Government Relations Committee. Rick enjoys advocating for the benefit of providers at the national level and is an enthusiastic representative of AAHAM where ever his travels take him. Rick and his wife are the parents of 10 children so it is fair to say that he knows something about the democratic process, or perhaps the process of a dictatorship. Dawn Buck, CRCS-I & P, Patient Accounts Manager, Mille Lacs Health System Dawn has been an employee at Mille Lacs Health System for 28 years. She started her career in Admissions and Medical Records, and then billing and then the last seven years she has been the Patient Accounts Manager. She has been a MN AAHAM board since 2014 and this year became the treasurer. Dawn was the recipient of the 2015 MN AAHAM Ray Costello Member of the Year Award.
