6 Keynote Speaker TANYA HOLLINS Executive Director Pace Center for Girls, Hillsborough Tanya R. Hollins, a native New Yorker, received her Bachelor and Master degrees from Binghamton University of the State University of New York system. Early in her career, Tanya worked at various social service agencies including Job Corp, the YWCA of Broome County and the Broome County Urban League in Binghamton, NY where she served as the Interim President/CEO. In 2000, Tanya began her career in higher education at Binghamton University. During her tenure at BU, Tanya received several acknowledgements, including the Distinguished Alumni Award for the Educational Opportunity Program. It was also during her tenure at Binghamton University that Tanya had the opportunity to present at various national and state conferences in regard to student success and engagement. In 2008 Tanya moved to New Hampshire to serve as the Director of the Internship Office at Saint Anselm College. After her first year Tanya was promoted to become the inaugural Executive Director of the Center for Experiential overseeing four offices: Internship, Career Services, Study Abroad Office and the Center for Community Engagement, encompassing a staff of over 55. Tanya relocated to Florida in May In July 2012, she was appointed to serve as the Executive Director of the PACE Center for Girls, Hillsborough where she oversees a staff of 23 and an evidence based program that serves young girls, ages who are considered at-risk. In her role Tanya serves on many community committees including the Clearwater/Tampa Bay Human Trafficking Coalition and the Women of Influence Committee. Tanya notes her return to the non-profit arena has been challenging and rewarding. She says the girls she serves are not at-risk but are at-promise. Through her sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and her membership in Altrusa International of Tampa Bay, Tanya remains an engaged member of the community. 6
