We hope you have a wonderful weekend on campus and make many fond memories. In 1834, John J. Shipherd pledged Oberlin s commitment to the elevation of female character through education. We open the door to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault inside a mountain near the North Pole, a facility at the center of efforts to protect the biological basis of agriculture for future generations.
