2 WELCOME After hosting LIU Post s most successful homecoming to date in 2015, we are gearing up for an even bigger Homecoming, Alumni, Parent, and Family Weekend for 2016! Don t miss out as we gather to celebrate our alma mater and return to the place that will always be home. Events include a BBQ in honor of Mary M. Lai s 70th anniversary with LIU, a number of free events, and our annual football game and tailgate. In addition, we are celebrating a number of our affinity groups, including sports teams, WCWP, The Pioneer newspaper, and the Black and Latino Alumni Association. LIU Post alumni, friends, students and parents are invited. Donation of $20.17 will go towards the Buck and Mary M. Lai Memorial Scholarship. 1 p.m. The Great Lawn HISTORICAL WALKING TOUR OF CAMPUS Tour the beautiful Gold Coast estate of Marjorie Merriweather Post. 2:30 p.m. Hillwood Commons STUDENT AND ALUMNI PEP RALLY Sponsored by the LIU Post Alumni Association and Student Life, our Homecoming Pep Rally brings the LIU Post family together to cheer on the football team. 7 p.m. Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium THE MONKEES GOOD TIMES: THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR Don t miss The Monkees as they take the Tilles Center stage. The show features all of the Monkees hits, plus an intimate acoustic set and solo spots for each of the singers. CONCERT 8 p.m. Tilles Center for the Performing Arts LIU Post alumni receive 15% off! When the clock strikes 1 p.m., you can head into the Bethpage Federal Credit Union Stadium to watch as the Pioneers take on Saint Anselm. Join your fellow journalists and alumni as we reminisce on our rich history, reconnect with old friends, and enjoy a pre-game breakfast. All proceeds to benefit The Pioneer newspaper. 11 a.m. The End Zone, Hillwood Commons $25 for adults. Children 12 & under FREE. WCWP BBQ Attention alumni of WCWP! The WCWP Alumni Association is hosting a BBQ after the Homecoming game. Join your fellow alumni as they reminisce about their favorite radio station memories! Suggested $20.17 donation to benefit WCWP. 5 p.m. Abrams Communication Center $100k FOR KAYE Join us in celebrating the work of Kathryn Kaye Mealing as we continue to work towards raising $100K in her honor.
