As a qualified rotational Pharmacist with clinical responsibilities, you will be required to work as part of the Pharmacy team based mainly at the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow. You will have an active role in the service delivery which operates across several sites, including acute hospital sites and ambulatory care hospitals. Current equipment includes SPECT-CT & neurospect scanners, gamma cameras and DXA scanners. The departments have a work load of over 20,000 patient procedures per annum and specialist procedures include neuro, cardiology and SPECT-CT. You will also initiate and undertake projects to support clinical research and service development. You will have extensive theoretical and practical knowledge and experience across the full spectrum of nuclear medicine techniques and be able to act as a Medical Physics Expert. A PhD and experience undertaking research and service development would be advantageous. You must hold HPC registration as a Clinical Scientist. Specific rotational training in paediatric neuropathology and other specialist centres in order to fulfill the requirements for training will be available.
