4 ANNOUNCEMENTS NIELSEN LAUNCHES DIGITAL AUDIO RATINGS QUANTIFYING BROADCAST RADIO ONLINE AUDIENCES Nielsen announced the launch of Nielsen Digital Audio Ratings service, a major step towards delivering Total Audience Measurement for Audio. Nielsen Digital Audio Ratings is a syndicated, subscription-based measurement service that allows clients to quantify the value and size of their overall broadcast and digital audience, while aligning with established broadcast and digital currencies. The result is a holistic view of over-the-air and online audiences that allows broadcasters and marketers to easily plan, buy and sell all audio content regardless of ad model and device. This first phase of Nielsen Digital Audio Ratings will report the listening of digital streams of AM/FM radio stations as well as a client's e-radio stations in each of the 48 PPM markets.
