The Annual Meeting provides an excellent opportunity to make new contacts and to display your company's products and services. Enclosed, you will find a draft of the meeting schedule. This will provide you with the information you need to plan your trip and allow you to know when our delegates will be in the exhibit area. To register for the Annual Meeting please complete the enclosed PROFESSIONAL/ EXHIBITOR AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE form in this packet. Return the Agreement Forms to AAHRA to Ron Jones at the Clanton Housing Authority, 512 Ollie Ave, Clanton, AL Your registration fee (Professional-$ and Exhibitors -$650.00) will include admission to all events for two representatives from each company. Additional representatives can register for $ per person. We have 30 Exhibitor spaces available. Each space for Exhibitors will be assigned based on the order we receive your paid registration. We MUST validate your registration and receive Agreement Forms by July 31, 2018, to guarantee your company's name will be printed in the program. Cancellations prior to July 31, 2018, will be charged a $25.00 handling fee and after August 3, NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE. We appreciate the Vendor Donations to our Scholarship Program and the Donations to support the cost of the reception in our Exhibit area. If you would like to make a donation for any of these items, there are areas on the registration form that details the process to follow for your gracious and greatly appreciated contribution. We have attached several forms and encourage each of you to fully participate in our Annual Meeting. The scholarship prize drawing will be a 50/50 Raffle this year and additional details are included in this packet. Monday, August 27, 2018 is the date of the Walter B. Mills Golf Tournament. It does not matter how well you play, it is all for fun and a great cause, so please register to be a part of this great golf tournament. Also included in the packet is a sponsorship form giving you an opportunity to promote your business on the golf course. Information on room reservations is in the packet. 7 AHAEEF to Host Draw-down Fundraiser Our Annual Draw-down will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 starting at 4:30 p.m. during the Exhibitors Reception. Admission to the Reception is your BADGE. Who does this help? All funds donated from this draw-down will be used to provide Education Scholarships to residents of Public Housing. The Alabama Housing Authority Education Enrichment Fund (AHAEEF) was established in 1984 to provide a college education for those living in public housing. Since that time over $450,000 has been awarded to public housing residents to attend college. A majority of these funds in the past were provided solely through fund raising events. What is a Draw-down? The draw-down is a raffle drawing in reverse. This year we are doing raffle. This fundraising simply involves the sale of raffle tickets with the proceeds being split evenly between the winner and your AHAEEF. How does the Draw-down work? Raffle Tickets are $20.00 a ticket and will be sold up until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, Then all tickets are drawn, leaving only 5 tickets in the barrel. If you're one of the lucky 5, you have an opportunity to win half of the proceeds of tickets sold. The Final draw-down will be on Wednesday August 29, 2018 after the Awards Banquet. Once we get down to the final 2 you will be asked if you would like to share half of the proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets, if both parties agree then the drawing ends. However, if one person does not want to share the proceeds, the drawing continues.
