Please ensure that your account includes your correct address and phone number to reach you with last-minute information. Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis. WEATHER/CANCELLATION POLICY Any class which does not have the required minimum number of enrollments is subject to cancellation. Individuals registered for a class which is cancelled will receive a full refund. Every attempt will be made to reschedule classes cancelled due to weather, instructor illness, etc. However, when circumstances prohibit rescheduling, classes will not be made up and no partial refunds will be given. In the event that day school classes are cancelled, all Community Education day and evening classes will also be cancelled. M-36 Pinckney, MI REFUND POLICY Cancellations made prior to the first class may receive a full refund, less an $8.00 service fee. Cancellations made after the first class prior to the second class, will receive a full refund less an $8.00 service fee (on classes 3 days or less the refund will be prorated). No refunds will be given after the scheduled date of the second class. If a class is not filled or is cancelled, a full refund will be given. Refunds will take 2 to 3 weeks to process. A fee of $35 will be assessed for returned checks. 3

The punch pass is valid for 20 visits at any Early Bird session. Early Bird is designed for individuals who want to run/walk and/or swim before going to work or school. Classes are designed to build strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness. This class takes advantage of your buoyancy in the water and resistance the water creates. You will use flotation equipment for buoyancy and water resistance. Flotation equipment frees the body to concentrate on body alignment, specific movement and aerobic enhancement. Equipment is provided. Participants should be comfortable in deep water. Instructor: Kathi Compton, (AEA) & (ASFA) certified instructor. Passes are available at the pool. 5 DIVE & PAC SWIM DIVING LESSONS-PATHFINDER POOL Divers will learn proper approaches, takeoffs and the mechanics needed to begin and improve their diving. We will work on approaches and begin learning some of the basic dives. Practices will run based on individual needs and experience. Participants should be comfortable in deep water, willing to go off the diving board and can swim to the side of the pool. The PAC is a competitive swim team whose primary goal is to teach stroke form, improve times, and have fun through participation in practice and swim meets. Swim meet participation is required. Meet schedules will be distributed as soon as they are finalized. Parent involvement is required and essential to the success of the swim club and your swimmer. Programs Offered: - 2 day a week program for novice and elementary aged swimmers - $175 Practice: Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm - 3 and 4 day a week program for intermediate and middle school aged swimmers - $250 Practice: Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm - 5* day a week program for high school swimmers or swimmers who are ready for a more serious level of training and competition - $400 Practice: Mon/Wed 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, Tue/Thur 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, Fri 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm (*This is our USA group. All swimmers MUST be registered with USA swimming in order to practice. An additional registration fee per swimmer applies) A mandatory club fee of $10 per swimmer is payable to Pinckney Aquatic Club to cover administrative fees. Winter Season begins January 8th, Swimmers must be registered before getting into the pool. New Parents must attend meeting on January 4th 7:00 pm at the Navigator Media Center. Through our martial arts training, teens and intermediate students can expect to learn how to protect themselves and others. This will include making sure that each student gets a great workout in each class. Our drills are designed with the proper motions of the body to reduce any degeneration of body joints over time. We will work on having proper reaction time through our defense drills, as well as learning good self control, discipline, and focus. REGISTER USING CLASS # 150 GIRLS ON THE RUN Refreshments Entertainment Raffle for Dads Photographers on site for those wishing to purchase picture packets E j n i y e i s e Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization that envisions a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Our ten-week program meets twice weekly for 90 minutes and runs March 13th through May 26th. The program is designed for girls in grades 3rd-6th. Lessons are led by trained volunteer coaches who guide and mentor the girls through an uplifting curriculum that focuses on life-long skills to improve emotional and physical health. The program culminates in a non-competitive 5k which gives the girls a chance to shine and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. Registration opens December 5th. For questions, to apply for financial assistance, or to register, visit: HEART & SOLE (GIRLS ON THE RUN MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM) Heart & Sole was developed to meet the unique needs of middle school girls. The ten-week curriculum led by trained volunteer coaches creates a positive, structured space for girls to learn about themselves, explore new ideas, strengthen connections and develop skills that will help them as they move through adolescence and beyond. Heart & Sole is accessible to all girls regardless of their athletic ability or fitness level. The twice weekly program ends with a culminating non-competitive 5k event where girls are encouraged to run, walk or soar across the finish line! Registration opens December 5th. 8 PRESCHOOL 8 PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION (Held during Kindergarten Roundup) MARCH 6, :00 PM - 7:30 PM & MARCH 8, :30 PM - 6:00 PM Held at Country and Farley Hill Elementary schools. After MARCH 15 please register at Pinckney Community Education THREE YEAR OLD- This program is for children who turn 3 prior to September 1, 2018, potty trained (out of diapers and pull ups) and independent to use the bathroom. Three year old preschool meets two days per week: Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The cost for a full year is $1125 plus a $50 registration fee. This is payable in nine monthly payments of $125. Upon registration a $50 non-refundable registration fee is due E. M-36, Pinckney Pinckney Community Education Preschool programs are held in our State of Michigan Licensed classrooms. We provide a warm, nurturing setting that encourages children to learn through developmentally appropriate hands-on learning experiences. Our structured and literacy-rich environments allow children to explore the world around them, while they grow socially, emotionally, and academically. With learning concepts in math, science, language, literacy, music, and art, our students are exposed to many educational experiences. Our certified early childhood teachers consult with our kindergarten teachers in order to provide children with important kindergarten-readiness activities, especially those which are focused on pre-reading and early writing experiences. Set within our district s elementary buildings, our students are exposed to and become familiar with what our quality buildings have to offer. We believe in a strong correlation between parental involvement and student educational success and therefore, welcome parental involvement. FOUR YEAR OLD MORNING This program is for children who turn 4 prior to September 1, Four year old preschool meets three, four or five days per week from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The cost for three mornings a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is $1485 which can be billed in nine monthly payments of $165. The cost for four mornings a week is $1935 which can be billed in nine monthly payments of $215. The cost for five mornings a week is $2385 which can be billed in nine monthly payments of $265. Upon registration a $50 nonrefundable registration fee is due. 9 LITTLE PIRATES AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT PROGRAM For Children Ages 3-5 Farley Hill Elementary Class # 436 Mon thru Fri 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM LATCHKEY PROGRAM Children must be potty trained (not in pull-ups) and able to follow directions. The afternoon enrichment program will include: language development, music & movement, math, science, free play exploration, socialization, library, computers, sports, music, and indoor/outdoor play. Children will have lunch & snacks at school, provided by the parent, and rest time is offered, if needed. Limited space available. January 3 - May 23 No enrichment on Jan 15, Feb 12, Mar 26 - Apr 2 Country Elementary Class # 437 $20.00 per day Mon thru Thur 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Includes latchkey service(if needed). Latchkey hours of operation: 6:15-9:00 AM and 4:00-6:00 PM Register at pinckneyonline.org You must register by Sunday prior to the week you need the program. After Sunday please call Community Education to check availability. A $5.00 late fee per day applies for late registration. When registering please specify if latchkey is needed in AM or PM each day. Little Pirates Enrichment Program cannot accept drop ins. Before and after school care providing: Caring supervision, supervised homework time, activities for fun and learning, arts and crafts projects. Latchkey is a service that provides child care for school-aged children before and after the school day. A variety of educational and recreational activities are included in the program. Our goal is to be able to offer the community a safe, educational, and loving environment. Latchkey in the Pinckney School District is a self-supporting program dependent on tuition fees to meet operational costs. There is an annual $50.00 registration fee per family for the school year (September through June). Latchkey fees are: $8.00 for each session (AM or PM) for the first child in the family and $7.00 for each additional child in the same family for each session (AM or PM except Early Release Days and half days).early Release Days sessions (usually Friday afternoon and conference days) are $10.00 for all children. Half day of school PM sessions are $20.00 for the first child and $19.00 for each additional child in the same family. Latchkey Centers are located in the district elementary schools and Navigator. Please register at your local school Latchkey Center. Hours of operation are 6:15 AM to start of school, and school dismissal time to 6:00 PM (6:15 PM at Navigator). Latchkey is in operation on all scheduled school days and for half-days. 10 ARCHERY BEGINNER ARCHERY - GRADES 4TH - ADULT Fee: $50.00 Discover the sport of archery through instruction and games. This four week class will cover safety, use of equipment, and practicing the lifelong skill of archery. All equipment will be provided, thanks to the Michigan DNR and Safari Club International - Novi Chapter. Instructor: USA Level 1 and Level 2 Archery instructors. 4 weeks Limit 30 Class # 382A W18 Beginner Location: Pathfinder Room: Mezzanine Day: Wed 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM 01/10/18-01/31/18 10 WINTER ARCHERY PROGRAM - 8 YEARS TO ADULT Fee: $90.00 This program is designed for individuals ages 8 and up who have some archery experience (have taken a beginner class, participated in an after school archery activity or other Pinckney archery program). In this class USA Level 1 and 2 Certified Coaches will help you improve shooting skills, teach how to improve shooting scores, play games, introduce the Junior/ Adult Olympic Archery Development Program, and shoot a variety of target types (FITA, NFAA, and 3D). 8 weeks Limit 30 Class # 382B W18 Location: Pathfinder Room: Mezzanine Day: Wed 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM 01/10/18-02/28/18 PINCKNEY PIRATE JOAD CLUB Fee: $100.00( Achievement pins included) This archery program is for individuals who have USA Archery Memberships and are members of the Pinckney Pirate JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) Club. Throughout the program, archers will work on improving shooting technique and scores, play games, earn achievement pins, and learn how to prepare for competition. Pinckney Schools, the Michigan High School Archery Association and USA Archery Instructors invite all 5th - 12th grade students to join the Pinckney Pirates School Archery Team. Students practice one day/week for 9 weeks on Wednesdays, will be split into different divisions based on grade level, and will compete in two tournaments. One locally, and the other on the east side of the State at the Michigan High School Archery Association Championship (where the Pinckney Pirates Men s and Women s team took 2nd place in 2017). Limit: 30 students. Everyone who registers before the team is full will be accepted on the team. Team members do not need previous archery experience. All coaching by USA Level 1 and 2 instructors, necessary equipment, team uniform, and tournament entries will be provided (students are allowed to use their own archery equipment).
