We accept cash, checks (made payable to Carlisle Parks and Recreation), Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover credit cards. There is an online transaction fee. Why Are There Two Prices? Residents of Carlisle Borough, including the Carlisle Barracks, receive a discount on recreation and pool programs. Proof of residency required. A list of Borough streets is available to those who are unsure of their residency. Non-residents are persons who live in a municipality other than the Borough of Carlisle. Injury Participation in our programs and leagues is at your own risk. We advise participants to carry their own accident/liability insurance. Participation Hold Harmless By voluntarily enrolling in any activity offered by Carlisle Parks and Recreation or scheduling a reservation, each individual agrees:...i shall defend, hold harmless and indemnify the Borough of Carlisle against all expenses, liabilities and claims of every kind, including reasonable counsel fees, by or on behalf of any person or entity (including but not limited to the organization, its members, participants, spectators, officials and other third persons) arising out of any activity what-so-ever conducted on or around the premises to which this agreement pertains and the Carlisle Parks and Recreation has my permission to interview / photograph / videotape / film me and/or my child for use in Carlisle Parks and Recreation publications, photographic or electronic images, and print media including advertising and news articles in the local newspapers and other related media. I agree to the rules and regulations as stipulated by the Borough of Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department. Program Refund Policy A $2.00 administrative fee will be deducted from ALL program refunds (except for insufficient registration cancellations). Refunds for one day activities are not possible after the event has taken place. We will gladly issue a refund for any multi-session program for any reason as long as you contact us prior to the second class. After the second class, no refund will be given. Program Cancellations Call (717) and press 2 for cancellations. We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registration in which case a full refund will be issued. No News is Good News! Once you have registered for a program, you will not hear from our office unless: There is a change in the time or day. The program has to be cancelled. So, mark your calendar and plan to attend! 2

4 Aquatics POOL RENTALS Reservations are required for all rentals. Full payment is required at the time of reservation. Private Pool Party Reserve the entire pool complex for your own private birthday party, family reunion, or work party. Outside food/beverage is permitted. The concession stand is not available during private pool parties. *Pool Members receive a $25 discount on the hourly rate. Availability: Fridays and Saturdays, 6:30 8:30 p.m. $200/hour Extra Fee: Tot Pool = $25/hour Public Pool Party Package includes either 2 or 4 hours of swimming during public hours including a pavilion reservation. Additional fees apply if your party stays longer than your reservation. Outside food/beverage is permitted at the pavilion area only. *Pool Members receive $25 discount on the party package. Beginner Level 1: basic introduction to water skills such as blowing bubbles, bobbing, submerging face/head and gliding. Level 2: water fundamentals such as floating, flutter kick, arm strokes, and combining arm and leg movements. Intermediate Level 3: stroke development with front crawl, rotary breathing, streamline position, scissor kick, and elementary backstroke. Level 4: stroke improvement including breast stroke, back crawl, diving, and treading water. 5 Little Movers (Ages 18 months 3 years) This class will help your child s gross motor skills and socialization with fun activities in a safe environment. Free play, tumbling, circle time, songs, games, and parachute play are some of the fun activities children will enjoy. The first 15 minutes of class provides an opportunity for free play exploration. The Powers Within I: Ages: 5-7 6:00 6:30 p.m. The Powers Within II: Ages: :45 7:15 p.m. Powers Within incorporates martial arts techniques to sharpen students discipline, focus and control skills...certain to build a healthier self-esteem by encouraging leadership qualities. Learn blocks, kicks and strikes, and combine them with strength building exercises. HALF-GYM RENTAL Gym 1 with Stage - $25/hour Gym 2 - $20/hour A curtain is lowered to separate the two halves. FULL-GYM RENTAL Full Gym (Sports) - $35/hour Full Gym (Parties/Events) - $40/hour (Pickleball or Volleyball) Equipment Set-up - $10 flat fee AVAILABILITY: Monday - Saturday, 8 am to 11 pm Sundays, Noon to 11 pm. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance. Call or stop by the Parks & Rec office during normal business hours. Full payment is required at the time of reservation. We accept cash, credit cards and checks payable to Carlisle Parks and Recreation. Reservations are available on a first-come basis. You must include your set-up and clean-up time in the hours you reserve. You may not enter the Multi-Purpose room or Gym early. You must clean up and leave the rented area by the end of your rental period or a $25 penalty plus hourly fees will apply. If you will need a podium, TV+DVD player, flip chart or portable screen, please inform the office when reserving. One Month at a Time - The Second Monday Rule To reserve the Gym or a Multi-Purpose room each week for a month, you must call our office no earlier than the second Monday of the prior month. You may reserve only one month at a time, no more than 2 hours per day or 1 day per week. Our facility operates on a very tight schedule due to Parks and Recreation programs, as well as rentals by individuals and community groups. Since Gym space is in high demand, we believe this is the best way to accommodate the most people. 8

9 RENTALS PAVILIONS STUART COMMUNITY CENTER RENTAL POLICIES The facility cannot be rented for profit-making purposes. Food may not be sold. If you plan to play or perform music at your event or rent an inflatable amusement, you must rent the Full Gym. Use of an inflatable requires prior approval and Certificate of Insurance. Tables and chairs are provided at no charge. Supply is limited. Staff will set up tables and chairs in Multi-Purpose rooms prior to your rental. Customers renting the Gym are responsible for set-up and tear-down of tables and chairs. Fog machines are prohibited since they trigger our fire alarm system. You must sign a Hold Harmless Agreement before your rental and turn in a Cleaning Checklist afterward. It is the renter s responsibility to clean up and take the trash to the dumpster. A $25 penalty plus hourly fees will be assessed if a renter fails to clean up or leave the rental space on time. On weekends and evenings, the building is staffed with a Center Supervisor only when there is a scheduled rental or program. Otherwise, the building is closed. Please call if the building is not open 10 minutes prior to your rental. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be made no less than 7 days in advance. A 10% Administrative Fee will be deducted from all refunds. If payment was made by cash or check, a refund will be mailed from the Carlisle Borough Finance Department in approximately 2-3 weeks. Fees will not be refunded if cancellation is made less than one week prior to the reservation. Biddle Mission Park 311 East North Street 5 acres Pavilion: Seats up to 48 people (6 tables). Pets are not permitted in the cabin. Main Pavilion: Seats up to 288 people (36 tables). Pavilion - $60/day or $5/table/day Lions Pavilion: Seats up to 32 people (4 tables). 11 RENTALS CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations must be made no less than 7 days in advance. A 10% Administrative Fee will be deducted from all refunds. If payment was made by cash or check, a refund will be mailed from the Carlisle Borough Finance Department in approximately 2-3 weeks. Dying trees, dead branches and stumps must be removed. On mature trees, limbs must be elevated to eight feet over the sidewalk and fourteen feet over the street. This will keep your sidewalks safe for pedestrians and prevent tree branches from interfering with trucks and buses. Tree lined streets add beauty to our surroundings and stability to our ecosystem. The Borough of Carlisle s Shade Tree Ordinance prohibits the removal of healthy, vibrant shade trees without first obtaining an approved permit issued by the Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department. There is no fee to obtain the permit; however, in extreme cases, failure to do so could result in a fine up to $300 per offense. Please help us keep Carlisle greener by following the shade tree permit process and informing us at (717) of any suspicious tree removal you may observe in your neighborhood. Fall Street Tree Planting The Carlisle Shade Tree Commission and the Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department are making a concerted effort to promote tree lined streets in Carlisle to reap the aesthetic and environmental benefits of shade trees. Complete a planting application to request the Borough to plant up to two street trees at your property, at no cost. Sidewalk cuts included. Only property owners may apply. Funds are limited.
