Program Cancellations Call (717) and press 2 for information on cancellations due to weather. Program Refund Policy A $2.00 administrative fee will be deducted from ALL program refunds. Refunds for one day activities are not possible after the event has taken place. We will gladly issue a refund for any multi-session program for any reason as long as you contact us prior to the second class. After the second class, no refund will be given. We reserve the right to cancel any program due to insufficient registration in which case a full refund will be issued. No news is good news! Once you have registered for a program, you will not hear from our office unless: There is a change in the time or day. The program has to be cancelled. Mark your calendar and plan to attend! Bricks 4 Kidz Bricks 4 Kidz is a fun and educational program designed to provide a hands-on atmosphere where children will learn science and technology, engineering and math (STEM) using LEGO bricks. Mondays, January 5 May 18 (No class: 1/19, 2/16, 4/6) and Zumba Kids Designed exclusively for kids, these classes are rockin, high-energy fitnessparties packed with specially, choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. 5 HEALTH & FITNESS Zumba Toning This class combines the fun of dance fitness with the challenge of using light weights to sculpt arms, core, and lower body. This is a complete workout including cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, and flexibility. Bring a friend and have a blast while getting in shape! Please bring your own hand weights. Ages: 16 Adult. R.I.P.P.E.D. is the total body workout that is sweeping the country and getting rave reviews from men and women who are burning fat and reshaping their bodies like never before. Bring a deposit of $100 cash or check to the Captains Meeting at the Community Center to hold a spot for your team. Ages: 16 Adult. One of our trademarks is the developmentally appropriate curriculum we use that emphasizes creative play, enjoyment of sport, and character building lessons. We have specific curriculum for 2 year olds, 3-5 year olds, and advanced curriculum for ages 5-7/K and 1st graders. Our instructors are enthusiastic, energetic, and love working with children. Each session will focus on specific soccer skills that also work towards improving balance, coordination, and agility with each child. Carlisle Area Dog Parks (717) CANCELLATION of a rental reservation must be made during normal office hours, no less than seven days prior to the date reserved, in order to receive a refund. A 10% administrative fee will be charged. No refund will be given if reservation is cancelled less than seven days in advance. Spring 15 Street Tree Planting The Carlisle Shade Tree Commission and the Carlisle Parks and Recreation Department are making a concerted effort to promote tree lined streets in Carlisle to reap the aesthetic and environmental benefits of shade trees. Complete a planting application to request the Borough to plant up to two street trees at your property at no cost. Sidewalk cuts included. Only property owners may apply. Funds are limited. Application deadline is March 1, Applications are available online at. Carlisle s Bike and Pedestrian Trail The 13-mile stretch, which includes on-road and off-road trails, connects all Borough parks, schools and downtown Carlisle. Start at any Borough park and follow the trail and Bike Route markings. Contact the Parks and Rec office to find out where you can pick up a copy of the Bike and Pedestrian Trail map and get ready to EXPLORE CARLISLE! Street Tree Maintenance The Carlisle Borough reminds property owners of their responsibility to maintain street trees according to the Shade Tree Ordinance. Dying trees, dead branches and stumps must be removed. On mature trees, limbs must be elevated to eight feet over the sidewalk and fourteen feet over the street. This will keep your sidewalks safe for pedestrians and prevent tree branches from interfering with trucks and buses. Tree permits are required for pruning or removal. Call or visit Carlisle Parks and Recreation to obtain a free permit.
