Children ages 3 and up can learn about wetlands and the creatures that inhabit them at 10 a.m. on June 1 at the South Lafourche Branch and at 1 p.m. on June 1 at the Lockport Branch when the Audubon Zoo s Wetland Wildlife Express visits. Tr y o u r Kindle Fire s New to ereaders or want to test drive a newer model? The Thibodaux, Lockport, and South Lafourche branches are now offering a Kindle Fire for checkout for in-library use. To borrow one, cardholders must be in good standing and have a valid state-issued photo ID that lists a local address. Those who check out the ereader can then select an ebook or audiobook for checkout from the library s digital catalog. The ereader must be returned 20 minutes before the library closes.
