This year the event gathered about 350 participants from all over the world, all the invited speaker came from abroad. The Chapter members managed to invited Nobel prize laureate Ben Feringa, Millennium Technology Prize winner Michael Graetzel and others famous scientist. What is more, chapter succeeded to win SPIE travelling lecturer grant. The elected lecturer was interdisciplinary scientist Naomi J. Halas. She gave a plenary talk during Open Readings As usual, Chapter organize a cycle of lectures called Café Scientifique. There were organized three lectures. The talks were given by local scientists: Giedrius Alkauskas, Kastytis Zubovas and Audrius Alkauskas. The events took place in informal place (Tres Baracudos Pub) and was available for a wide range audience. Officer Travel Grant was won, thus two members of the chapter have participated in SPIE Photonics West During the conference members presented one poster presentation, also attended in Student Chapter Leadership Workshop and Student Chapter Meeting.

3 The Chapters members participate in educational events. This year event took place at Jonava Oldtown gymnasium. The Optics Kit was presented and He-Ne laser was demonstrated. Pupils were able to experiment with optical equipment during the workshop. Participants reached: 30. PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR THE FUTURE: Participate in various science outreach activities, for example, Café Scientifique. To increase and sustain the number of our chapter members. Together with VU SSA and VU OSA chapter we will be taking the main role in organizing next year s student conference Open Readings Participate in educational events.
