3 Leisure, Play & Recreation Training for Senior Living This activities course addresses the concepts of leisure, play, and recreation, emphasizing the role that leisure should play in assisted living/crcf. Lectures and discussions on societal attitudes toward long term care and the stress it causes consumers will be discussed. Through participation in a variety of recreational pursuits, participants will explore the rules, techniques, strategies, and adaptations for successful participation by residents. 4 Education Policy No exceptions for any reason will be made. CE Hours: Any participant arriving more than 15 minutes late to an educational seminar will not be able to receive CE credit. This is in compliance with the Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators rules for providing education classes. If you are late, you will not receive CE credit for the remaining time nor will you receive a refund for the class or credit to take another class. It is your responsibility to get to class on time and plan to stay for the entire allotted time for the seminar. Refunds: Refunds for any class will not be given for no-shows, emergencies or anyone canceling less than 72 hours prior to the class. We understand that events sometimes happen and you are unable to attend a class, however we must reserve space for attendees and cannot refund or give a credit for a future class for those that do not cancel in advance. Certificates: Certificates will be distributed at the end of each class. You cannot get your certificate if you need to leave early. Any individuals that leave early will not receive CE credits. Partial credits are not given. Again, this is a Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators policy. Please be sure to keep your certificate where you can locate it. We have received too many requests for copies of misplaced certificates so we have decided to charge a fee for reissuing. If you need SCARCH to provide a copy of your certificate, a fee of $10 must be paid prior to the certificate being reissued. No exceptions. Medication Training for AL/RC ONE DAY ONLY! This calls for leaders to learn to adjust their communication style to cross the generational lines. This one day workshop is designed to address the need to break down the barriers and conflict between the Traditional, the Baby Boomer, the Gen X and the Millennial. Despite the challenge, the good news is there is a place for everyone at the table. When a leader tasks the right individuals with the right tasks, he or she can effectively foster communication between groups, thereby creating a positive workplace culture that s defined by professionalism and mutual respect.
