2 Welcome The MidSOUTH Summer Conference for Integrated Behavioral Health provides training in integrated care, which is the systematic coordination and integration of mental health, substance abuse, primary health care, and behavioral health care. This model of care proves to be the most effective approach to caring for people with multiple health care needs or coexisting conditions. In order to receive your hours, you must fill out the continuing education form, included in your registration packet, and return it to the MSSC office. Continuing education certificate reuests made by September 15th will be issued free of charge. Late reuests for certificates, reuests for duplicate certificates, and verification of hours will incur a fee. Later onsite registration will be at the MSSC registration table located on the first floor of the Donaghey Student Center by the UALR Bookstore. Conference REGISTRATION PARKING: Lot 2: enter the UALR campus from University Ave. East onto University Drive. Take a left at the stop sign onto Campus Drive at the tennis courts and enter Lot 2 directly on the right. During the conference, parking will be FREE in the UALR Deck and in Lots 12, 13, 14, and 15. Additional parking will be at the corner of University and Asher in the Big Lots shopping center. for the Residence Hall will be in Lot 15. All other parking lots on campus are restricted to students and staff. UALR Trojan Transit The Trojan Transit system is a free, fixed route shuttle service, providing transit within the UALR campus. Many shuttles are wheelchair accessible and can accommodate 12 people. Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday: 7 a.m p.m. Friday: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. A map will be included in each participants confirmation and registration packet. Disability Persons with disabilities who need tags for handicap parking, should call and reserve them from the MidSOUTH Office at Handicap parking spaces are located in lots near the Donaghey Student Center. tags and cards need to be picked up at the registration table. If you cannot pick them up, please contact MidSOUTH to make other arrangements. Other Disability Services If other considerations are needed, please contact the UALR office of Disabilities Support Services at Hotels (1 ) HOTEL WITH CONFERENCE RATE: The Wingate Inn is located at 1212 S. Shackleford. The rate for single occupancy is $89 per night. When making reservations, call and identify yourself as attending the 2015 MidSOUTH Summer Conference at UALR. 7 Housing at UALR Housing is available in the UALR East Residence Hall. Space is limited, so register early. Reservations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available. Residence East Hall: The UALR East residence hall is located at 3101 South Taylor. is in Lot 15. Rooms are grouped in two-bedroom suites that include a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave and bathroom with shower only. Single occupancy is one person per bedroom with two people sharing a single bathroom. Participants wishing to stay in the residence hall need to bring: linens for a full-sized bed (sheets, pillows, blankets, towels) and other personal items. Linens can be rented (5 towels, 5 washcloths, 1 set of sheets, and 1 pillow) but uantities are limited. Extra pillows and blankets will not be provided.
