2 Pulmonary Hypertension Summit 2017 Overview The Summit addresses the evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy of pulmonary hypertension, CTEPH, and acute pulmonary embolism. In addition, it reviews the most recent advances in the context of challenges faced by physicians and other health care providers caring for these patients. You will learn from shared experts broadcast between two locations Cleveland, OH and Fort Lauderdale, FL. Target Audience This Summit is directed to cardiologists, pulmonologists, critical care physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, researchers and other health care professionals. Learning Objectives Describe the frequency, severity, and treatment of pulmonary hypertension as a complication of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and interstitial lung disease Describe the properties of novel anticoagulants to be able to prescribe them according to specific patient characteristics Detail the expected adverse events associated with pulmonary hypertension therapeutics and discuss their management Discuss the pharmacoeconomics of pulmonary hypertension therapeutics and review new findings exploring cost effectiveness of care Discuss the shift toward early and upfront combination therapy Explain the importance of the ventilation-perfusion lung scan in the screening for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) Identify the role of multidisciplinary teams in the management of acute pulmonary embolism Recognize when to refer patients with suspected or known CTEPH to specialized centers for surgical evaluation Summarize the evidence base supporting recent clinical developments in the pathobiology epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic pulmonary embolism Accreditation The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Cleveland Clinic Foundation Center for Continuing Education designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Once the app opens on your device, select Pulmonary Hypertension Summit Once on your device, press Login and enter your username (your ) and the password ed to you. If you do not have access to the , click Login and then click Forgot Password in the upper right corner to have your account information ed to you again. If you are an onsite registrant or did not receive an with instructions, please click Create Account and enter the event code PH17 to create an account and log in. Once you have logged in, you will move through several pages of settings and terms and conditions until you get to the main screen of the app. From there, please download the presentations within the app by clicking the Get Slides button at the bottom of the main screen. Please note that you must be connected to a strong WiFi connection to do this. STEP 2 Find the presentation you want and interact with the presentation slides by drawing on slides and highlighting text. Use the note-taking mode to type your notes next to each slide. Final presentations will be available after the Activity. If you took notes on a presentation, both the original and updated presentations will be available for download to your device. STEP 3 Notes are saved online in the Online Personal Summary in addition to being saved inside the app. To access your notes for printing while in the app, select Personal Summary on the main screen to launch your personal summary web page (Internet is required) or yourself the link by selecting the my Summary. Within the Personal Summary website, select Presentation Notes in the left hand menu to see the titles of presentations you have taken notes on. Select the presentation title to view your notes and annotations for that title and Print to print to PDF either all of the presentation slides or just the slides for which you have taken notes. Adobe Acrobat Pro is required to print or save to PDF. To print either all of the presentation slides or just the slides for which you have taken notes, select the title to view your notes and annotations for that title and Print. Mac users and Windows users with Adobe Acrobat Pro installed have the option to save to PDF.
