19 Emerging Tools Instagram Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social networking app used by over 400 million people. It s users take pictures and videos, and share them either publicly or privately on the app, as well as through a variety of other social networking plajorms. Instagram users view more than 70 million videos per day.

20 Emerging Tools SnapChat Snapchat is a photo messaging app used by 100 million people. It s users take photos, record videos, add text and drawings and then send them to a controlled list of recipients. Each Snap has a shelf life ranging from 1 to 10 seconds before they disappear. These various images and videos can be collected into Stories which are viewable for 24 hours before disappearing. Snapchat users view more than 7 billion videos per day.

21 Emerging Tools Periscope Periscope is a live-streaming app used by 10 million people. It s users broadcast messages or have video conversa1ons live through their iphone or Android. You can make messages public or private because it is basically your own broadcas1ng sta1on. Essen1ally, you can go live on the go any1me and anywhere. Periscope users view 1.85 million broadcasts (or Scopes) per day.

22 Emerging Tools Employee Advocacy Employee advocacy is a term used to describe the exposure that your employees generate for your company using their own online tools and networks. These days, social media is the main medium for employee advocacy. Employee advocacy grows out of culture, not technology or marke1ng. Only cultures rooted in trust do employee advocacy well. If your employees aren t your biggest advocates, you have a problem much bigger than social media. People will trust your employees more than they trust your company brand provided your employees are given the trust and the right tools to share your content freely, out of their own will.
