1 Award Categories and Selection Criteria STUDENT AWARDS ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD - This award is presented to Aboriginal students who have completed a TAFE NSW course at Certificate I or II. Course Completed and Certificate Level (50 How has the student demonstrated (in 800 : o achievement of academic potential, o consistency of effort, and o a positive attitude to further education and/or employment Teacher reference/validation (500 ACHIEVEMENT AWARD - This award is presented to Aboriginal students who have successfully completed a TAFE NSW course at Certificate III or IV. Apprenticeship or Traineeship completed in 2010 (50 Teacher reference/validation (700 : o Demonstrated excellence in educational achievement o Positive attitude to further education Employer reference/validation (700 : o Demonstrated excellence in practical work o Positive attitude towards employment TAFE DELIVERED VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING AWARD (SCHOOLS) - This award is presented to Aboriginal students who have demonstrated excellence in achievement in a TVET course during high school.
