1 Diploma of Enrolled Nursing Application Form 2011 ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY F COURSES You can only apply if you meet the entry requirements of the course. Entry requirements are the minimum qualifications that applicants must have in order to be considered for entry to a TAFE NSW course. The entry requirements for the Diploma (Enrolled/Division 2 Nursing) are: Academic requirements Satisfactory completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate or equivalent Satisfactory completion of a Certificate III (AQF level 3) qualification or equivalent. PLUS English language requirements for applicants WHO HAVE BEEN EDUCATED IN AUSTRALIA Completion of the New South Wales Higher School Certificate examination and attainment of a grade of Band 4 or higher in English (standard, advanced or extension) or equivalent qualification from another state/ territory. Written evidence of at least three (3) years of high schooling in Australia English language requirements for applicants WHO HAVE NOT BEEN EDUCATED IN AUSTRALIA Achievement, within a six (6) month period prior to application, of a minimum of 7 on each band (reading, writing, speaking and listening) in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) academic modules. Achievement, within a six (6) month period prior to application, of a pass at B level in each of the four components (reading, writing, listening and speaking) of the Occupational English Test (OET) for Nurses. Learners must be aware that at the end of the course to gain enrolment with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia they must have sufficient physical and mental capacity to practise as a nurse in a range of health care facilities.
