2 Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS) nding-and-grants---crown-funds--- Community-Organisation-Grants-Scheme Creative Communities Scheme First Sovereign Trust Limited COGS provides grants to nonprofit community delivering community-based social services. COGS grants support organisation running costs, projects and events. Projects that get funded do at least one of the following: encourage participation they create opportunities for local communities to engage with, and participate in local arts activities support diversity they support the diverse artistic cultural traditions of local communities enable young people they enable young people (under 18 years) to engage with, and participate in the arts. Recognised cultural and community to further the objects of those groups. Organisations - do not need to be registered charity Individuals and groups Do not need to be registered body Clubs that are formally established and/or legally constituted Hauraki: All townships within the Hauraki and Thames-Coromandel District Waikato West: All townships within the Waikato and Matamata-Piako District South Waikato: All townships within the Waipa, South Waikato, Otorohanga and Waitomo District Council boundaries. Tongariro: All townships within the Taupo and Ruapehu District Council boundaries. Every District Council. You apply to the District where the project will take place. Around May/June Check with District Council 15 th of every month (except July) 2

Funds are available for any charitable, philanthropic or cultural purpose that benefits the local community both large and small. General Charitable purpose promoting charitable purposes or amateur sport, and shall have a valid constitution and a set of rules and provide credible financial statements. Groups and Individuals Organization must be incorporated, and have Charities registration or Income tax exemption your organisation needs to be: A Registered Charity, or A School Most Districts check website Operating within the radius of 56.4km of the Chief Post Office of Hamilton Please note the Trust alternates its funding between Hamilton in one year and Palmerston North the next, and that grants rarely exceed $3, December No close off dates May 2017 (Hamilton) The Southern Trust These must be non-commercial and benefit the community as a whole or a section of the Non-profit organisation No close off dates 5
6 The Working Together More Fund community. A section of the community means a group that is open to public membership. 1. Positive difference > the initiative needs to strengthen and positively impact communities served by participating 2. Collaboration > the fund was established to encourage collaboration as a way of achieving great results. The lead applicant needs to be a not-for-profit applicant and to partner with at least one other business, group or community organisation or be seeking funding to explore potential partnerships 3. Your partners > a partner organisation would generally be one that is actively involved in the exploration, design/development and delivery of the new initiative, and the relationship between partners one of mutuality 4. New projects > the purpose of the fund is to help new collaborative projects or partnerships get off the ground Incorporated Society or Registered Charity April, July, October Trillian Trust The major focus of the committee is to provide funding to youth based community and rescue services. Non profit community based Priority to areas in which venues operate: Cambridge, Putaruru, Whatawhata, Paeroa, Kihikihi, Ngatea, Ngaruawahia 10 th of every month, or Friday prior 6

We fund groups whose work may involve: Arts, Culture, Education, Environmental initiatives, Preservation of our history, Recreational activities, Social Services, Sports, Youth Not for profit community that have incorporated society or registered charitable trust status. without this status; that have a bank account, annual financial statements and annual report on their operations. Funding area includes the districts of Thames-Coromandel, Hauraki, Matamata-Piako, Waipa, Waikato, South Waikato, Waitomo, Otorohanga, Ruapehu and Hamilton City. The Trust acknowledges that this area includes much of the lands of the Tainui waka, and thus the people of Waikato, Raukawa, Hauraki and Maniapoto. Feb, June, Sept 7
