Mack Student Center, North Are you a commuter and need a place to hang out between events? Or do you just want a break from all of the fun? Stop by any of the three locations above to meet fellow commuter students, chill out, watch some TV, or play some video games. 5:45-7 p.m. Trips to Brownsville and Port Morris Commuter Office, Commuter Lounge and Game Room; Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, North Low-income students will adore these expeditions to their own neighborhoods! 9:30 p.m.-midnight Mack Student Center Boardwalk Atrium/Main Dining Room Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, North Cap off your evening with a night on the boardwalk. Take a photo in the photo booth, play your favorite game to win prizes, or head over to the Dance Party! The Hofstra University Bookstore will also have a VIP Shopping Night. There will be one-on-one help locating your textbooks, as well as giveaways, free candy, and more! 9:30 p.m.-midnight Diversity Seminar Multipurpose Rooms Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, North Diversity is of the utmost importance to us here at the Hofstra U. That is why we require all incoming freshman to attend this seminar where they will be instructed in dealing with people of other races. Students will be separated into groups by race. Be sure to #R15EABOVE, #myhofstrajourney or #huwelcomeweek p.m. Dinner on Your Own Meet up with your Welcome Week group for dinner. We recommend a sub at the Netherlands or pizza from Sbarro in the Mack Student Center!

If you have not signed up for one of today s trips, don t worry; there are still plenty of fun things to do on campus. Advance registration is required; see page 5. 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sam Pays! Student Center Bus Stop, North Time to pay up, homo! 10:30-11:30 a.m. Zumba JAM! Mack Fitness Center, North Join your classmates for this high-energy experience where you will burn calories while having fun! Don t be tardy for the party! Why do blacks get a month but we don't? Blacks are actually more racist than anyone else! Finally you can learn about important white figures of history like the man who REALLY invented peanut butter or Chuck Norris. 6 p.m. Welcome Week Catholic Mass Greenhouse, Sondra and David S. Mack Student Center, North Suddenly the lights go out and you are startled by the sound of a gunshot. Light returns, and you see a dead man on the floor next to you! As you look around the room, you notice some very shady characters. One of them must be the murderer, but which one? This may sound like a movie, but it isn t. This is the plot of Kathy's latest stand-up show/murder mystery dinner! Relive the horror of Kathy's yawn-inducing 2014 routine while also trying to locate a sadistic serial killer! 7:30-10 p.m. Topdog/Underdog Performance The Helene Fortunoff Theater Monroe Lecture Center, South You ve read it. You ve discussed it. Now come see it! You are invited to attend a live performance of our Pulitzer Prize-winning Common Reading, Topdog/Underdog, by Suzan-Lori Parks. The play recalls the darkness of the Biblical story of Cain and Abel, with its universal themes of sibling rivalry and resentment but it transplants these themes into a contemporary context of comedy and race. Students must attend one of the three performances (Saturday, 3-5:30 p.m.; Sunday, 3-5:30 p.m. and 7:30-10 p.m.).
