19 The Shield of the College As prt of its logo, The College of St. Scholstic utilizes the Benedictine shield. Benedictine vlues re the cornerstone of the lerning tht hppens t the College. In its originl form, the field is blue. Upon this field is silver lily, blooming with three flowers symbolizing the three Persons of the Blessed trinity. The bse of the lily is enclosed by silver crescent, the herldic symbol of the Virgin Mry, nd likewise the purity of Christin teching. A golden crown of the medievl regl shpe in herldry encircles the lilies bove, reclling the dediction of the Chpel to the Queen of Pece. Using the Shield s grphic element.
