Joy Fielding is the New York Times Bestselling author of Someone Is Watching, Charley s Web, Heartstopper, Mad River Road, See Jane Run and other acclaimed novels. Copies of her latest book, She s Not There, will be given to all attendees and a catered lunch will be provided. Due to limited space, this is a ticketed event. COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT Have a say in the programs and services offered by the Brantford Public Library! The Library is conducting a Community Needs Assessment in the early fall to find out what you need and how the Library can help. 3 Programs for Kids Read, sing, play, talk and write with your children to help them grow into strong readers! Inspire them to be creative and experiment with maker culture and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities. We make it easy with these engaging programs! The Fall Session runs from September 12 to November 19 followed by Holiday Special Events in December. All programs are Drop-In with the exception of Get Ready for Kindergarten. Join us for this makerspace group focusing on collaboration, experiments, and challenging puzzles. Runs from September 26 to December 1. Struggling readers, Grades 2 to 6, will be paired with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club. The Homework Help Drop In (Grades 3 to 8) *Runs from September 26 to December 1, except when closed October 11 to 16 for University Reading Week.
