1 Volume 17, Number 13 March 26, 2018 NEWS Team Member Benevolence Fundraiser Mindy Becker, Ext Ryanne Pardi, Ext Did you know that CKV has a benevolence fund for team members who may be experiencing immediate financial assistance during a personal emergency or crisis? Chocolate smiley pops are $2 each, 3 for $5, or send a 1lb. box of mini smileys to a department for $20. Order forms will be available starting, April 2 at the main reception desks in Mission Point, Harmony Ridge and Personal Care as well as at Brookside OR Visit a representative in the Terrace Café April 9-13, from 11:00 until 12:30 p.m. to learn more or place an order. Instead of hunting for receipts (now where did I put it?) why not hunt for a good book? Our library in Harmony Ridge offers a wide range of books. However, at this particular time of the year, how about some comic relief? They Laughed at Galileo by Albert Jack offers a humorous account of great inventors and the critics who panned their ideas. Michael J. Fox in his book A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future uses his own personal and hilarious anecdotes to conclude that true learning happens when it all skids sideways. Are you a dog lover? Marley and Me is the story of the Groban family who adopt the world s worst dog. Marley gives dog obedience training a whole new meaning. You will find Carol Burnett s book In Such Good Company here as well. There are also many DVDs to choose from. Page 1 of 12
