1 Carl Albert State College Community/SrO News Bulletin August 10 December 4, /2016 TRIPS November 11 & 12, 2015: Let s honor our Veterans with a trip to Branson. We will see the Veterans Day Parade, eat lunch and do some shopping at the Landing. The Neal McCoy Show will be our afternoon entertainment. A special Dinner at the Grand Plaza View Restaurant with the Sweethearts of Branson. There will be some shopping before a trip through the Festival of Lights Display. The morning show will be the Bretts Show and lunch before heading home. Cost is per person: $223 for single; $193 for a double $183 for triple, and $177 for a quad. December 1, 2015: SEASONS GREETINGS CONCERT Kick off the holiday season in grand style with live performances of your favorite holiday hits by the Symphonic Band, Choral Ensembles, Jazz Catz, and special guests. This is a UAFS Production. Transportation and dinner at Taliano s Resturant before the performance at the ArcBest Corporation Performing Arts Center. Cost per person is $30 Feb 13, 2016: Celebrate Valentine s Day by dinner at Catfish Cove in Alma followed by a performance by the 5th Dimension featuring Florence LaRue with their top hits. Cost is $55 per person this includes transportation, dinner and show. April 26, 2016 : A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING will present an evening of music theatre and light opera, with songs from the great American songbook and some of the most enduring Broadway musicals. Dinner at Taliano s with the performance at the ArcBest Corporation Performing Arts Center in Ft. Smith to follow. Cost is $30 per person. MAY 1 7, 2016: NEW ORLEANS - BIG FUN IN THE BIG EASY This 7 Days and 6 night trip includes transportation, 6 nights lodging including 4 consecutive nights in the New Orleans area; 10 meals including 6 Breakfasts and 4 Dinners. A guided tour of a Louisiana Plantation, Riverboat cruise on the Mississippi River, the National World War!! Museum and guided tour of New Orleans. The cost is $629 per person double occupancy. HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATIION Call the SrO Department at to make your reservation and ask any questions you may have about the trip. Reservations are taken on a first come first serve bases up to the first 30 guests, and any trip that has more than 30 within 20 days of the trip announcement will be subject to a lottery system. After making your reservation, a credit card may be used to make the required deposit. Or, you may send a check and your registration form to the Continuing Education office at 1507 S. Mckenna, Poteau, OK Tour deposits are required in order to confirm a reservation. *****Exceptions for Day Trips: Money & Registration form will be required upon sign up.****** Cancellations We realize that illness and personal problems do occasionally arise and make it impossible to continue your plans. Unless otherwise noted, a full refund of your deposit will be made if you cancel before the final payment date. For cancellations after the date final payment is due, any nonrefundable expenses incurred for hotels, transportation, insurance or other suppliers utilized on the trip, tour or cruise will not be refunded.

Students will learn and practice basic yoga postures which combine breathing control with stretching and relaxation to improve circulation. You will improve flexibility and energy. Discussions will include improving reproduction, disease prevention and treatment, parasite control, efficient/effective nutrition, marketing, and the use of partial budgets to make profitable management decisions. P.A.C.E. People with Arthritis Can Exercise PACE is a group recreational activity program designed specifically for people with arthritis. It includes games, range of motion, muscle strengthening and/or endurance exercises, body mechanics, and relaxation techniques. It s a solo dance that requires no partner, so you don t have to worry about stepping on someone s toes. As you learn the basic figures step-by -step, you will also be exercising at a gentle pace in a social environment.
