2 New Mexico Municipal League 58th Annual Conference Welcome to Albuquerque! As the Mayor of Albuquerque, I would like to welcome you to the 2015 New Mexico Municipal League (NMML) Conference. The NMML does important work representing the cities, towns, and villages, in the State of New Mexico, and I am proud that Albuquerque is hosting this important gathering. I hope that you gain valuable insight and ideas from your time at the conference, and have the opportunity to share ideas and best practices that will ultimately make our state and communities a better place. When not in conference sessions, please make sure to enjoy the abundant activities our city has to offer. Whether exploring historic Old Town, spending time shopping at ABQ Uptown, visiting the beautiful BioPark, or hiking through the majestic Sandia Mountains, you are sure to have an enjoyable and memorable experience in Albuquerque. For highest bidders, pick up your item(s) between 10:15 am and noon on Thursday. Proceeds are for scholarships for Clerks to attend the Clerks Certification Institute in October. Grow It! Game: Play to Win an ipad The Grow It! game is back and this year everyone with access to the internet can play. Winner will be drawn Thursday evening from entries placed in the Grow It jar. Parking There is ample parking available at the Conference Hotels (special rate ½ off offered to NMML attendees staying at the Hyatt), and at the Municipal Parking lot below the Civic Plaza (standard parking fee applies). Complimentary Parking Vouchers are available for pickup ONLY at the Albuquerque Booth (Exhibit Hall #4 where you pick up your conference bag) for the Convention Center / Municipal Parking lot accessed from the Broadway/ Martin Luther King Blvd. East ramp. Participants who successfully complete all three levels will receive the distinguished designation of Certified Municipal Official (CMO) and receive a pin and plaque in recognition of their status. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3 6:30 8:00 am 5K FUN RUN & 3K FITNESS WALK Tingley Beach The fun begins at the Tingley Beach north parking lot (Central/Tingley Drive). Meet us there at 6:30 AM to check-in or to sign up. The run/walk starts at 7:00 AM and will take us on the new crusher fine trail north through the Bosque along the Rio Grande River, then we will gather on the river deck for breakfast! This event will be held rain or shine. A shuttle is available for departure from the Convention Center front entrance on the West side (Civic Plaza) at 6:00 and 6:30 AM. Shuttles will bring you back to the hotel after the event. Registration forms are available in the registration area in Exhibit Hall #4 at the Convention Center. If you prefer to drive, from Downtown, drive West on Central, turn South (left) onto Tingley Drive (across from BioPark), take the first entrance to the right into the Tingley Beach area, at the T turn right again, and park at the North end parking/ dirt lot.
