Student Teacher Placement The Board approved the following administrative recommendation for placement of a student teacher from Westminster College for the Spring Term: Student Teacher February thru March - Carly Christofferson Cooperating Teacher Leslie Herman 2. Personnel A. Leave Request Danielle Norge, professional staff member was granted a Maternity Leave of Absence effective approximately May 3, 2017, using accumulative sick and personal days followed by unpaid leave, with an anticipated return to work for the school term. B. Director of Technology The Board approved creation of the position of Director of Technology, an Act 93 position, effective July 1, 2017, with the salary and benefit package to be determined based upon experience and credentials of individual elected. C. Addition to Substitute Bus Driver List The following individual is being recommended for addition to the substitute bus driver list, pending completion of a new-hire packet including drug screening. The Neshannock Athletic Association was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Memorial Elementary School cafeteria from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, and Thursday, March 2, 2017, to conduct NAA Baseball/Softball Drafts. No fee will be assessed. B. VLN Partners, LLP, was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Junior/Senior High School LGI Classroom from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, 2017, to conduct their Western Pennsylvania Summit. No fee will be assessed. C. Neshannock PTO was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Memorial Elementary School gymnasium, cafeteria, and classrooms 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, to conduct a Family Science Night. No fee will be assessed. D. The Neshannock Township Volunteer Fire Company was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Junior/Senior High School auditorium from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on April 13, 2017, to conduct their graduation ceremony. No fee will be assessed. E. The Neshannock X-tra Mile Boosters was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Junior/Senior High School concession stand, stadium, track, and restrooms from 6:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, to conduct the 6 th Annual John Thompson 5K Run/Walk. No fee will be assessed.

The Neshannock Cheerleading Boosters was granted permission, with no fee assessed for use of the Neshannock Junior/Senior High School as follows: 1. gymnasium, cafeteria, or multi-purpose room 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 12, 13, 14, 2017 Cheerleading Camp 2. gymnasium, cafeteria, or multi-purpose room 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 19-22, 2017 Mini Camp 3. gymnasium, cafeteria, or multi-purpose room 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. June 26-29, 2017 Mini Camp G. The Festival of the Trees Committee was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Memorial Elementary School gymnasium, cafeteria, and middle school gymnasium from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on November 24 and 25; and from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. on November 26, 2017, to conduct their Annual Festival of the Trees to support the New Castle Public Library. The District will charge custodial fees. H. Mr. Todd Brothers, Constable Training Coordinator, Penn State Center for Community and Public Safety, was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Junior/Senior High School from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 3 & 4, 2018, and again from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019, and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, March 2 & 3, 2019, to conduct Constable Training. The District will charge for rental and custodial fees. 7. Financial Issue A. IU Budget for Board Issues The IU Budget for was approved. A. Letter of Agreement College in High School Program - Duquesne University The Board approved a Letter of Agreement with Duquesne University beginning with the thru the school term which, upon final approval of Duquesne University, provides students with the opportunity to participate in and receive credit for college-level coursework during their high school years at no cost to the District.

E-Rate for 2017 The Board authorized the Administration to enter into an Agreement with Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV to prepare e-rate forms for wireless and phone services on behalf of the District for fiscal year C. School Calendar The proposed school calendar was approved. (Attachment) D. Permission to Advertise The Board authorized the Superintendent and Business Manager to advertise for bids for technology-related infrastructure. TPM/dag
