1 Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Education Of the Fairport Harbor Exempted Village School District Held on at The regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Fairport Exempted Village School District is called to order at in the Fairport lower level library room. Please stand and join the Board in the pledge to our flag. APPROVAL OF AGENDA BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Cope, seconded by Mrs. Hites to adopt the agenda as presented and with such modifications made by the Superintendent. OLD BUSINESS Energy Project Mr. Galante updated the board on the status of the Energy Project. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE TREASURER BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Paolino, seconded by Mrs. Harless, the board is asked to adopt the following substitute rates as delineated unless otherwise dictated per negotiated agreements effective August 15, 2016, and to authorize the Treasurer to pay the higher daily substitute rate for continuation of service for those substitute employees who continue working in 12-month classifications, as recommended by the Local Superintendent and Treasurer. She also discussed the fishing lure project, and the new hires. RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Paolino, seconded by Mrs. Cope, approve the $ contribution from the Finnish Heritage Museum, and for the appropriations for such donation be placed in the drama account, as recommended by the district Superintendent. 3 BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Paolino, seconded by Mrs. Harless, approve the pilot program Athlete s Individual Academic Plan (AIAP), for students in the graduating classes of 2017, 2018, and 2019, as recommended by the district Superintendent. See Exhibit A BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Hites, seconded by Mrs. Paolino, to approve our participation with the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the school year, as recommended by our district Superintendent. BOARD ACTION: Moved by Mrs. Paolino, seconded by Mrs. Cope, to engage in the following personnel actions listed below; provided, however, that should any item included within this motion be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be voided or illegal, all remaining items within this motion shall remain in full force and effect notwithstanding the status of the voided item. To employ the persons for the position and at the rate of compensation and other terms and conditions of employment as listed below for the school year, as recommended by the district Superintendent.
