The Locala Walk in Centre provides access to healthcare for the population of Kirklees and surrounding areas providing a service to those who attend with a range of primary care, minor illness and minor injury conditions. The service is integrated within the Emergency Department at Dewsbury District Hospital. This role requires a friendly, motivated and dynamic person to support the team, providing holistic, autonomous practice. In addition to advanced clinical skills, as outlined in the personal specification, excellent communication skills, flexibility and a team approach are essential qualities. This is a seven day service currently opening Mon Fri hrs hrs, weekends and Bank Holidays 10.00hrs hrs. The post holder will be responsible for clerical duties associated with the reception of clients attending the centre and assisting the clinical staff. We are looking for a resourceful individual with the drive and enthusiasm to work in this challenging and demanding environment. Highly motivated and enthusiastic, you will work within a compact, pro-active and friendly team based in Huddersfield town centre. Walk in Centre Receptionist Band 2 2 positions available 1x 15hrs and 1x 22.5hrs An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced receptionists to join our small admin team at the Walk in Centre, which is integrated with the A&E Department at Dewsbury District Hospital. We are looking for receptionists who have experience of using computerised booking systems, are digitally literate with some admin skills and are confident working in a busy environment. Experience of working in a healthcare environment would be an advantage. The role requires excellent communication skills at all levels, the ability to work under pressure and to accurately and efficiently input patient data into the booking system, whilst keeping strict confidentiality at all times. The positions are initially for 6 months, which is likely to be extended. The finance team is based in Batley and the offices are walking distance from Batley train station and a few miles from the M62, providing easy access from Huddersfield, Bradford, Halifax, Leeds and Wakefield. THE JOB OPPORTUNITY Reporting in to the Financial Accountant, the Finance Officer s role is to provide financial accounts support in order to deliver Locala s financial objectives in financial services. The role is seen as a good opportunity for the right candidate to develop the financial systems within Locala. The role shall include dealing with a wide number of internal and external stakeholders and therefore the ability to build excellent working relations is essential. The main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Raising and processing customer invoices, liaising with management accountants to ensure invoices are raised accurately and on a timely basis. Resolution of complex invoice queries through liaising with budget holders/suppliers and colleagues on own initiative within parameters of financial procedures. Prepare batch payments in preparation of BACs payment processing. Actively pursue managers regarding purchase invoice authorizations. Processing payment requests and all CHAPs, faster payments and urgent payments to suppliers and employees. Preparation and maintenance of control account reconciliations including bank and creditor accounts within tight timescales ensuring irreconcilable items are resolved and cleared within performance indicator targets. Prepare Creditor Analysis on a monthly basis. Ensure cash payments and receipts are posted on a weekly basis reconciling with the bank account. Process payroll pay-overs and resolve routine queries. Prepare accurate cash flow position on a monthly basis for inclusion in the monthly finance information pack. Assist in the production of Locala period end and year end accounts and other statutory returns as appropriate.

9 Contribute to Locala s procurement strategy and support and guide colleagues on procurement policies, practices and best value ethos. Contribute as an effective team worker within the finance function to facilitate the achievement of all finance objectives including evaluation of processes. Maintain an effective liaison at an appropriate level with finance and non-finance staff in other organizations. Recognize issues and take appropriate action to resolve with peers and in consultation with the Financial Accountant. To undertake any other duties as required including cover for staff leave and absence.
