Originally perating as a c-perative, the structure began t change in 2001 when it had its first C-rdinatr, clsely fllwed in 2002 with its first Chief Officer. The rganisatin was incrprated as a Cmpany Limited by Guarantee in 1985 and registered as a Charity in In 2008 the rganisatin was renamed Salfrd Cmmunity and Vluntary Services. Tday Salfrd CVS acts as the city-wide infrastructure rganisatin fr the vluntary, cmmunity and scial enterprise sectr; prviding specialist infrmatin, advice, develpment supprt and pprtunities fr influence and cllabratin. We prvide supprt fr rganisatins t establish and develp including training fr their staff, vlunteers and trustees. Our Vlunteer Centre prvides supprt fr individuals wh want t vlunteer and assistance fr rganisatins develping vlunteer prgrammes. Salfrd CVS perates within a wider framewrk in terms f ur membership f NAVCA and NCVO natinally and ur membership f, and invlvement with, GMCVO and ther lcal infrastructure rganisatins acrss Greater Manchester. Recently we embarked n a jint venture with ther lcality CVS called 10GM. 4 Infrmatin specific t the pst An pprtunity has arisen t jin Salfrd CVS Grants Team n a 12-mnth temprary cntract (maternity cver). The team manages an expanding number f grants and investment schemes. We are currently funding between 150 and 200 vluntary, cmmunity and scial enterprise prjects per year that are helping t enhance the lives f the peple f Salfrd. Salfrd CVS Grants Team currently directly delivers grants and investment prgrammes n behalf f a variety f lcal funders, including NHS Salfrd Clinical Cmmissining Grup and Salfrd City Cuncil. The pst hlder will prvide cmprehensive administrative supprt t the Salfrd CVS grants and investments functin. This will include using the CVS database and liaisn with internal and external stakehlders. Cre tasks Wrking clsely with clleagues t maintain and enhance relevant grants administrative prcedures in accrdance with CVS practices. Supprting the prmtin f Salfrd CVS s Grants and Investments Prgramme t vluntary, cmmunity and scial enterprise sectr rganisatins in Salfrd Supprting the administratin f grants and investments prgrammes further afield, as required Supprting the prmtin f relevant pprtunities t Salfrd primary schls Supprting a range f investment prgrammes Frequent creatin f and updating f paper-based and nline grant applicatin frms Prducing and distributing grant applicatin frms and grant mnitring packs t rganisatins within tight timeframes Timely and efficient handling f grant enquiries received in persn, by phne and by Cllating and checking grant applicatin frms fr eligibility and cmpleteness Maintaining a schedule and database f grant applicatins including details f day t day cmmunicatins, funding decisins, variatins t agreements and mnitring infrmatin Supprting the grants panel by arranging and attending meetings, recrding detailed panel decisins and taking accurate minutes Cmmunicating grant decisins and panel feedback t applicants Visiting funded rganisatins t btain and recrd mnitring data, this will include recrding ral infrmatin, cllating written infrmatin and taking phtgraphs f rganisatinal activity Sense checking f interim and end f prject reprts Be respnsible fr the regular updating f the grants sectin f the Salfrd CVS website Manipulate CRM database, merging with Micrsft Wrd / xcel as required t prduce accurate and efficient cmmunicatins Develp and maintain effective filing and recrd-keeping systems
