Yur wrking pattern is arranged acrss a weekly rta cycle. 2 apprpriate debriefing time with the supervising GP and ut f hurs wrk; trainees shuld have ne hur f admin time fr each three hurs f clinical time, and the bking f appintments will allw fr this as well as debriefing t take place within the sessin. Tw structured educatinal sessins: including (but nt limited t) release t lcal structured teaching prgramme, tutrials, practice educatinal meetings, educatinal supervisr meetings, activities relating t wrkplace based assessment, e-prtfli entries and ther engagement with the ARCP prcess. One independent educatinal sessin: fr independent study and revisin. Educatinal and training pprtunities will be tailred t address individual learning leads. It may be desirable fr additinal clinical sessins t be used instead fr educatinal purpses thugh yu shuld nrmally have n fewer educatinal sessins than utlined abve. When ut f hurs wrk is undertaken, the equivalent number f hurs will need t be deducted frm the clinical sessins (as described abve) in the same week (r fllwing weeks) as agreed with yur practice. The scheduling f ut f hurs wrk must als remain cmpliant with the average 40 hur weekly ttal and ensure a safe wrking pattern in accrdance with Schedule 3 f the terms and cnditins f service (TCS). Depending n the nature f the ut f hurs wrk, the cnsequent time ff may need t be taken in ne blck during the same week (perhaps the same day r the next day), r it may be pssible t take it in smaller amunts acrss a number f weeks; this shuld be agreed with yur supervisr. The timing f any time ff in lieu will need t be agreed with regard t the need t maintain safe wrking hurs and must be agreed prir t the ut f hurs wrk being undertaken. Yu are required t undertake 72 hurs f such ut f hurs wrk acrss the year; yu shuld schedule this in accrdance with availability and with the agreement f yur supervisr. Yu may spread these hurs acrss the year in any safe pattern cmpliant with the wrking hurs prvisins f Schedule 3 f the TCS; hwever, yu shuld nt schedule wrk acrss mre than 6 weekends per year, as defined in Schedule 2, paragraph 5 f the TCS. N fewer than 12 and n mre than 22 f these hurs shuld fall int the perid attracting a night enhancement (bradly, after 9 pm r befre 7 am), as set ut in Schedule 2, paragraphs f the TCS. Yu will be enabled t engage in: Adult learning Reflective practice n activity in the wrkplace Seeking pprtunities fr patient and carer encunters Multidisciplinary teamwrk and learning Guided persnal develpment thrugh discussin with yur ES and supprted by yur CS and yu will be given pprtunities t meet bth during the pst. The learning pprtunities within this pst are: Clinical supervisin with pprtunity fr discussin after each surgery r during surgery if required fr an immediate prblem. Weekly tutrial at least 2 hurs planned and fcussed discussin cvering educatinal needs with educatinal / clinical supervisr. Sme may be delegated t anther permanent GP member f the practice team. 5 Attendance at weekly practice educatin meeting invlving all practice clinical team members. These meetings include attendance by ther PHCT members when apprpriate and include the fllwing areas: Gld Standard Framewrk (palliative care) Child and Adult Safeguarding Audit and SEA Evidence based medicine Case management f patients with cmplex needs Attendance at the weekly partners meeting including business planning and finance. Attendance at weekly structured teaching prgramme. Time fr weekly self-facilitated learning and persnal study. Other Learning pprtunities that are available in this pst include: Attendance and participatin in chrnic disease management, health screening, immunisatin and ther clinics supervised by the practice nurse. Participatin in the practice clinical gvernance prgramme including audit, SEA, medicines management and ther quality imprvement prjects. Participatin in the practiced based minr surgery sessins including jint injectins. Participatin in practice r cmmunity based ante-natal and child health clinics. Delivery f teaching t medical students with feedback n teaching skills. Attendance at lcal clinical cmmissining meetings and invlvement in cmmissining prjects. Participatin in the practice case management prgramme fr patients with cmplex cnditins including multidisciplinary team wrk. Leadership f specific prjects r chairing f practice meetings with feedback n skills. If yu are elected t act as a representative f ther GPSTs including t attend the annual cnference f LMCs, yu are entitled t [special paid] leave t undertake such functins and t attend apprpriate meetings. (Yu must btain the cnsent f yur trainer/educatinal supervisr and emplyer t each absence frm duty but cnsent shall nt be withheld unless there are exceptinal circumstances in the reasnable pinin f the trainer/educatinal supervisr.
