The organization was launched 10 years ago and has grown to include top-level executives from some of the world s largest organisations.

3 How the CEP works BOARD RISK DISCUSSION The CEP is unique in the way that it welcomes executives from all functions with a need to factor information security into policy or strategy-making be this information security, corporate or group security, cyber security, finance, marketing, human resources or legal. This focus arose from an understanding that board and executive members have responsibility for motivating their organisations to tackle risks robustly; for this to happen, they need to understand the risks and potential solutions fully, as well as learn from examples of leading-edge and best practice from other organisations. The Programme helps executives keep one step ahead of the risks by highlighting evolving trends and potential solutions, warning of particular threats, and facilitating discussion. It promotes the sharing of ideas, experiences and group problem-solving. The CEP does not see its role as organising large-scale conferences and meetings, although its intelligence-gathering processes draw on their findings and a whole range of other sources to support members and event attendees.
