7 COACHES MEETING A mandatory Head Coaches meeting will take place on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 5:30pm at the Courtyard Marriott, Lake Union. The first part of the meeting will be devoted to discussing logistics of the championship. Assistant coaches, sports information directors, and other staff are permitted to attend this portion of the meeting. The remainder of the meeting will be a business meeting conducted by Pac-10 representatives. In the 2005 meeting, the coaches voted to allow assistant coaches to attend the business portion of this meeting, however they aren t allowed to have any input. The specific wording is as follows, to request that, as permissible by AR 3-11-a, the SWAC approve the attendance of assistant coaches at the gymnastics coaches meeting, held annually at the championship. If more than one coach was in attendance, an institution would be required to designate one person who was allowed to speak. Dinner will be served. OFFICIALS AND JUDGES MEETING A mandatory meeting with the meet referee and all judges will be conducted Saturday, March 29, 2:30 p.m. in room #140E, floor level, Bank of America Arena. COMPETITION FORMAT 2008 Pac-10 Gymnastics Championships Competition Format Rotation1 Bye Vault Bye Bars Beam Bye Floor 1 UCLA OSU STAN CAL UW UA ASU 2 ASU UCLA OSU STAN CAL UW UA 3 UA ASU UCLA OSU STAN CAL UW 4 UW UA ASU UCLA OSU STAN CAL 5 CAL UW UA ASU UCLA OSU STAN 6 STAN CAL UW UA ASU UCLA OSU 7 OSU STAN CAL UW UA ASU UCLA FLOOR MUSIC FORMAT The preferred format for floor music is a.wav or.aiff music file on either a CD or Thumbdrive. Alternately, MP3s, if already programmed in an Ipod would suffice, though playback quality tends to not be as good as a.wav or.aiff file. The exception for MP3 s are higher bitrate (ie. 192kbs or higher) recordings which are acceptable. Files recordings at lower bitrates tend to skip more easily. 6
