(Mar. 3) Friday Flock Spiritual Service and Luncheon- join us for service followed by a delicious meal. (Mar. 4) Movie at C.M.P Library- the free library cinema will be playing The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Rated PG-13, 116 minutes (Mar. 9) Spring Fling Dance - join us as we travel to East I to dance to the music of the band The Ramblers! (Mar. 10) Lenten Retreat - The day will consist of a mass, discussions, confession, and lunch. The cost is $5 per person. Save the Date: Detroit Symphony Orchestra Performance The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will be performing in the Lakeside II Dining Room on Friday, May 27th, at 2:00 p.m. Blood Pressure Screening Every Tuesday 1:30 Lakeside 1-2 2:20 Lakeside 2-2 On the first Tuesday of every month, the Medical Team will also check your emergency bracelet/necklace Reminder: Spring Forward Daylight Saving Time begins at 2:00 AM on Sunday, March 13th, so don t forget to adjust your clocks accordingly! The laundry room is open after 4 p.m. daily or anytime on the weekends; just bring your detergent. Washers and dryers are complimentary; just push in the coin holder. Please do not leave your laundry unattended. Join Us at Mealtime! Dinner at noon is $8 for guests and Supper at 5 p.m. is $6. There s always a good time to be had with good food and great company! Happy Valentine s Day! Rosary and Communion Every Friday, 11 a.m. at. Provided by parishioners from St. Paul of Tarsus. Protestant Services Worship and Fellowship are extended to all. The Easter egg is a tradition that is celebrated around the world. Many people believe that the egg is a sign of rebirth. Originally, people would take great time and effort to paint and decorate eggs. However, over time, some people chose to use plastic eggs or chocolate eggs instead. Decorating Easter eggs dates back 2,500 years. Countries such as Russia, Romania and Poland still create very detailed colored eggs. Some people prefer tan Easter eggs, so they boil the eggs in water containing onion skins. In England, different colored yarns are also tied to the eggs to create a unique look. On Easter in the United Kingdom, painted eggs are rolled down steep hills for fun. In the United States, children roll eggs on the ground using a spoon, which is an annual event at the White House. Easter egg hunts are another famous tradition. Beeping Easter eggs are now used to allow the visually impaired the opportunity to also hunt for Easter eggs. Happy Easter! Our March resident meeting will be held at Lakeside II on Thursday, March 3rd at 2:00 p.m. This is an informal meeting where all residents are encouraged to voice their suggestions and concerns! We also have suggestion boxes near the activity calendars in the lobby and a write-in space on our weekly calendar!
