3 S.G.A. Financial Report 3 The Student Government Association has recently concluded its allocation and reallocation process. Of the $212, requested from student organizations this fall, we were able to fund $178, Of the $35, requested from student organizations for re-allocations, we were able to fund $26, For a total of $247, in requests, and $204, in funding. As part of the Student Governement Assocation s budget, we are able to fund events and resources for the entire student body. These resources include the public safety van that provides transportation to the mall, Target, and Wal-Mart. We also fund the daily newspaper including The Reading Eagle, USA Today, and The New-York Times available throughout the week. We generally fund the movies that are available for viewing for students who live on-campus from their rooms, however, this year the movie will be available for streaming online. A popcorn machine was also purchased to be used for movie nights that will be held throughout the semester in the Campus Center. This year the Student Government Assocation purchased an 80 inch television, which allows organizations to adverstise and market their events in the Campus Center using a new and intivative idea. As opposed to the annual spring concert that the Student Governement Organization plans, 500 tickets were purchased for Day Glow, an event that was held at the Sovereign Center on Friday, September 21st, We are excited to see the funds distributed to these student organizations be used and are confident that they will provide many extended benefits to the entire campus community. The Student Government Association
