The AMATYC Math Contest is a two-part national competition for two year college students. Any student who has not earned a two-year college or higher degree or junior standing is eligible to compete (part-time students are eligible). Vegan-Raw Super Food Gluten Free Workshop The grand prize for the qualified individual with the highest total score on the two exams is a $3,000 scholarship to be used to continue his or her education at an accredited four-year institution. The top ten ranking individuals will receive appropriate prizes of a mathematical nature, as will the five highest ranking members of the first place team. Presenters are: Chef Jesse Sanchez our Vegan/Raw Food Expert, will share easy steps to achieve optimum levels of natural energy, maintain and/or, reduce weight, augment personal and physical motivation by making conscious food choices available at the local and farmer s markets. Dr. Parthenia Grant will be sharing information on body cleansing and the importance of maintaining peace with body and mind. Chef Miguel Bautista former LAMC student will share information regarding lucrative career opportunities as a Vegan/Raw Chef. This is an expo you won t want to miss! All food sampled are vegan, raw, organic, super foods, gluten-free and delicious! Chef Louis Eguaras, will sharing information on gluten free and tips to improve current family recipes to minimize the use of wheat products. Patty Rodriguez will cover early childhood obesity and prevention. She will also share some important information regarding a diet composed of various food groups.. Steve Ruys will be presenting a concise workout that will help motivate the mind and body to gain natural energy and develop endurance. George Yemetz is an almond grower and expert. He will be sharing the benefits of almonds and the various products prepared all natural and 100% organic. You will get to try samples like: Power protein shakes, Kombucha, Plant-based proteins, Super Waters, 30 minute vegetarian meals, Cultured Salads, Delicious Desserts and much more! ~ Flex Credit for Attending Faculty ~

This is NOT a class so anyone and everyone is welcome. You don t have to be a student of the college to play. When: Thursday 6:00pm - 9:00pm with 9 lighted indoor courts available. Anytime between 6:30 and 9pm would be fine but it would probably be more worthwhile to you if you show up sooner than later. How much: $4.00 per person - 3rd person in your party will get 50% discount on admission meaning that he/she will only have to pay $2. Also, any kids under 10 years of age get in free.
