LYNN S MUSIC NOTES The Gospel story of the Transfiguration appears every year on the Second Sunday of Lent in the liturgical calendar. Today we hear how Jesus, on a mountain, is transfigured by divine light. On Good Friday we will hear how Jesus, on a different mountain, is transfigured by our sin and darkness will replace the light. Both of these acts are acts of love. God the Father gives us his Son. Why? Because he loves us. NEW EASY WAY TO GIVE We are excited to tell you about a new AmazonSmile promotion that started March 12. Amazon is tripling the donation amount to 1.5% when customers make their first eligible smile.amazon.com purchase from March This is a great opportunity to give to St. John s at no extra cost to you.
