4 Convention Sponsors Announced Location chosen for 2019 Convention & Marketplace The Board of Directors has chosen Biloxi, MS to be the site for the 2019 Tennessee Motor Coach Association Convention & Marketplace. 5 New Operator Member Receives Award The Alabama State Conference of the NAACP announced on October 5th that their awards committee has selected Takers Transportation as their Minority Business Owner of the Year for The Award will be presented at their 65th Annual Freedom Awards Banquet on Saturday October 21st at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Montgomery, Alabama. I m sure all the members of the TMCA would like to extend their congratulations to Eureka Battie of Takers Transportation located in Huntsville, Alabama for being recognized for such a prestigious award. Our Associate Members can join the event to cheer on the Operators and Tour Planner as the take their turn at the wheel and answer questions for great gifts and some monetary prizes. Basically, this is like a game show and we make sure they are no losers. If any Associate member would like to supply an item for this event they can be shipped to the TMCA Office prior to February 1st. Valued over $25. Vendor that supply items will be recognized when the item is given. The Chris Levering Silent Auction for the American Cancer Society This year will mark the 9th year we have held the Chris Levering Memorial Silent Auction and each year we are truly amazed at the generosity of our members to this very worthy cause. In the past five years we have raised over $100,000 for the American Cancer Society, which is, outstanding. As always, the TMCA will match every dollar raised up to $5,000 and with everyone s help, we know we can make a difference. If you would like to donate an item or items, please complete the form and return it to the Patty Levering, no later than January 15th, We would like to ask that all items be valued at $25 or more. Thank you to everyone who helps to make this event a success each year, as we remember the life of Chris Levering and other we have lost. Every little bit helps!
