1 American Association of Navy Hospital Corpsmen Newsletter May- July The purpose of this group is social, comradery, friendship. Joe Havens put this group together because most of us never deployed together, we were placed wherever the Navy or Marines needed us. We all served with pride, cold war, peace time, war time, many conflicts that were not even acknowledged as wars. This group was put together to keep us all together as one unit, we are all NAVY HOSPITAL CORPMEN. The reunion committee has put together a great reunion this year. We tried to select items of interest for all members and their guest. Attached is the tentative agenda that is subject to changes as needed up until the reunion. Also attached is the reunion reservation form that is needed to be returned by August 31st to allow planning and final counts for the buses, banquet and other activities. Forms received after this date are on a space available basis. Any cancellations after Sept 1 may not be refunded based on whether activities have already been paid for by the AAoNHC. Any questions please contact Chuck Kraut ( ) We hope you can all make it to this year s reunion. There is a Panama Canal Cruise from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale 15 nights for those who want to come on a space available basis, go to our website for information or call
2 For transportation from the airport to the reunion hotel, Super Shuttle will allow all veteran s to book the military discount. From San Diego airport to the Best Western Seven Seas is $27 one way for two people. The military rate is $21.60 one way for two people. To receive the discount, reservations must be called in and made in advance. Their phone number is BLUEVAN ( ). No code is needed, they said to just tell them you want to book the military rate. There are also other shuttle options in San Diego that you may find on your own. Visit the Ship's Store and all items are available to purchase online. Please find enclosed a price sheet with shipping charges that need to calculated into your total reunion plans are well under way. Plans are being finalized for the hotel and we will pass the word once finalized on the website and a special edition newsletter 2 with registration and event signup. As always, there is a cruise following the main event. Details are available on the website. There are limited rooms reserved at this rate so book while you can.
