1 Lake Bluff Daily Log Incident Type Date / Time Incident Number Address Public Health and Safety 05/31/ :00: E NORTH AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the block of E. North Avenue for a report of a large branch hanging on a telephone line. Officer located a large branch that had broken off of a tree on the south side of E. Washington Avenue hanging on a main telephone line that supplies phone service to the neighborhood. Officer requested dispatch contact AT&T to respond and cut the branch from the line. Officer observed no immediate danger to the public. No other police service requested. Animal Complaint 05/31/ :15: BELLE FORET DR Narrative: Officer responded to the 300 block of Belle Foret Drive for a possible sick raccoon. Officer saw no indication of illness, and removed the animal from the property. Animal Found 05/31/ :09: E SHERIDAN RD / MOFFETT RD Narrative: Officer responded to the 100 block of East North Avenue for a found dog. Officer made contact with the homeowner who advied the dog was returned to the owner. No police assistance was needed and officer cleared. Animal Complaint 05/31/ :15: MOFFETT RD/E CENTER AVE Narrative: Officer was flagged down by a motorist who stated a black and white dog was running loose on the parkway at either Moffett Road and E Center Ave or Moffett Road and E Scranton Ave. Officer checked both areas and the surrounding area and could not locate the dog. Officer cleared. Public Health and Safety 06/01/ :49: E SHERIDAN RD / MOFFETT RD Narrative: Officer responded to East Sheridan Road and Moffett Road for a report of a dumpster in the roadway. Officer met with a delivery truck driver, who said he was switching out the dumpsters at a construction site, and was in the process of removing the dumpster. Alarm Residential 06/01/ :35: LANSDOWNE LN Narrative: Officers responded to the 500 block of Lansdowne Lane for an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival, officer met with a work crew who had set the alarm off in error. Officer reported no irregularities. Officer met with the homeowner, and advised her of the situation. The homeowner was able to deactivate the alarm. Accident Property Damage 06/01/ :41: ROCKLAND RD Narrative: Officer responded to Rt 176 at Public Works Way for a traffic crash, no injuries reported. Officer completed a SR 1050 report and gave each driver a copy. A citation was issued for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, T41391.
2 Animal Complaint 06/01/ :51: GREEN BAY RD / ROCKLAND RD Narrative: Officer responded to Rockland Road and Green Bay Road for a report a large white dog that was loose and running in the roadway. Officer searched the area but was unable to locate the animal. The complainant left the scene prior to officers arrival. Citizen Assist 06/01/ :40: SKOKIE HWY Narrative: Officer responded to the 400 block of Skokie Highway for a VIN inspection. The proper paper work was completed and Officer cleared. Lost/Mislaid Property 06/01/ :39: SKOKIE HWY Narrative: Officer responded to the 400 block of Skokie Highway reference this case. Officer met with the complainant who advised the missing registration sticker had been located. No further police assistance was needed. Alarm Business 06/02/ :52: S WAUKEGAN RD Narrative: Officers responded to the 300 block of South Waukegan Road for an activated burglar alarm. Officers met with workers who were there to clean the duct work in the building and activated the burglar alarm. The workers stated they were given the wrong code to disable the alarm. No irregularities were observed. No futher police assistance was required, officers cleared. Alarm Residential 06/02/ :46: BLUFF RD Narrative: Officers responded to the 600 block of Bluff Road for an activated burglar alarm. Officers checked the exterior and found it secured. There was no keyholder response. Officers reported no irregularities. Suspicious Incident 06/02/ :19: NORTH SHORE DR Narrative: Officer responded to the Lake Bluff Police Department for a suspicious circumstance involving teenage kids who are standing outside an office building on North Shore Drive. A report is on file. Accident Property Damage 06/02/ :56: ROCKLAND RD Narrative: Officer responded to Route 176 west of Green Bay Rd for a two vehicle property damage crash. Formal report taken. Identity Theft 06/02/ :40: E CENTER AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the Lake Bluff Police Department for an identitiy theft report. Animal Complaint 06/02/ :14: NORWICH CT Narrative: Officers responded to Norwich Court for a report of a sick raccoon in the yard. Officer relocated the raccoon out of the complainants yard and no additional assistance was needed.
3 Fingerprinting 06/02/ :42: E CENTER AVE Narrative: Officer provided fingerprint services for a person who is employed within the Village limits. Traffic Stop 06/02/ :01: GREEN BAY RD / W WASHINGTON AVE Narrative: Officer conducted a traffic stop on West Washington Avenue at Green Bay Road. The driver was arrested for improper lane usage, driving while license suspended, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Assist Fire 06/02/ :29: ROCKLAND AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 600 block of Rockland Avenue for an activated fire alarm. Lake Bluff Fire Department responded to the scene and determined the alarm was accidental. Officer verified no further police assistance was needed and cleared. Suspicious Incident 06/03/ :36: E CENTER AVE / SUNRISE AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the area of E. Center Avenue and Sunrise Avenue for a complaint from a resident of a garden hoe,gloves and broken glass in the road way. The complainant stated to dispatch that they did not wish to speak to an officer. Officer located a garden hoe in the road way of the 700 block of E. Center Avenue that was causing a traffic hazard and removed the tool. Officer observed no other irregularities. Ordinance Violation 06/03/ :05: W CENTER AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 200 block of West Center Avenue for possible ordinance violation regarding a dumpster in a driveway on West Center Avenue. After observing the dumpster, officer spoke with the complainant and advised her that the dumpster was on the property and not in violation. Officer advised the complainant that he would check with building and zoning for the village to ascertain whether or not proper permits have been applied for. After speaking with the building code supervisor it was determined that there was a proper permit on file with the village. Officer called the complainant back and advised her of the permit. Accident Property Damage 06/03/ :32: MAPLE AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the Lake Bluff Pubic Safety Building to meet with two people that were involved in a property damage traffic crash that occured on the private property located in the 600 block of Maple Avenue. Officer completed an Ilinois Traffic Crash Report. Trespassing 06/03/ :55: S WAUKEGAN RD Narrative: Officer responded to the the Public Safety Building for a tresspassing complaint that occurred in the 200 block S. Waukegan Rd in a parking lot. The complainant stated that a young lady, possibly in her early 20's asked to use her cell phone and the complainant stated no, complainant stated that the subject started using foul language to her. Complainant stated that after the subject left the area, she went into a store to go shopping. When she returned to her vehicle she stated that it looked like someone had been inside of her vehicle. Complainant stated nothing was taken but she wanted a report on file. Officer took all the information. Complainant had no questions for the officer. The subject was describes as a female, white subject approximately 20 year of age, 120 lbs and around 5 ft tall.
4 Ambulance Assist 06/03/ :00: E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the block of E. Scranton Avenue with the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Fire Departments to assist with a person needing assistance. Patient was transported to the Lake Forest Hospital in ambulance #421. Parking Problem 06/03/ :09: SHERIDAN RD Narrative: Officer responded to the 600 block of Sheridan Road and met with the complainant regarding vehicles parked in the CBD Permit Parking Only spaces in the south end of the Lake Bluff Train Depot lot. Officer placed warnings on three vehicles parked illegally. Complainant did not wish to have the vehicles ticketed. Ambulance Assist 06/03/ :15: W BLODGETT AVE Narrative: Officer assisted the ambulance in the 300 block of West Blodgett. Citizen Assist 06/03/ :50: SKOKIE HWY Narrative: Officer responded for a VIN Inspection/Verification. Officer completed the provided paperwork and cleared. Kass #141 Check Well Being 06/03/ :01: E CENTER AVE / MOFFETT RD Narrative: Officers responded to the area of East Center Avenue and Moffett Road for a report of two males who attempted to flag down a passerby. Officers made contact with the two subjects who advised no police or medical assistance was needed. Officers observed no irregularities and cleared. Animal Found 06/03/ :04: E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 200 block of East Scranton Avenue for a report of a found dog. The dog was found near Ravine Park with an attached tag with "Toby" on it. While checking the area to locate the owner, the owner responded to the PSB. Officer returned the dog and cleared. Youth Problem 06/03/ :24: MAPLE AVE Narrative: Officers responded to the Lillian Dells Beach for a report of juveniles on the beach. Upon arrival officers located subjects leaving the area in a vehicle. Officer spoke with the subjects who stated they were at the beach earlier and did not know the beach was closed. Officers advised the subjects the beach closes at dusk and they were sent on their way. Officers went to the beach and located two adult subjects. Officers advised them the beach was closed at dusk and escorted them to the top of the ravine. Officers issued the subjects citations for violation of beach curfew and they were released. No further police assistance was required and officers cleared.
5 Suspicious Vehicle 06/04/ :58: MEADOW CIR Narrative: Officer was requested to respond to the block of Meadow Circle for a report from a passer by that a male while was in a green colored vehicle and has been parked there for 30 minutes. Officer responded and stated the subject was from a moving company working for a resident and arrived to work early and was sleeping inside the vehicle. No other irregularities were observed. Parking Problem 06/04/ :08: E WOODLAND RD / EVANSTON AVE Narrative: Officer responded to Evanston Avenue and East Woodland Avenue for a called in parking complaint. Officer arrived on scene and observed two small suv's parked on opposite sides of the road partially blocking the roadway. Officer spoke with the resident and the subject stated they would move they're cars. Officer cleared to resume patrol. Assist Fire 06/04/ :36: E WITCHWOOD LN Narrative: Officer responded with the Lake Bluff Fire Department to the 300 block of E. Witchwood Lane for an activated fire alarm. FD advised the alarm was false and no other police service was requested. Animal Complaint 06/04/ :46: E NORTH AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 300 block of East North Avenue for a report of a dog left inside a vehicle that was not running and the window were left up. Officer checked the immediate area but was unable to locate. Complainant did not want to be seen and officer cleared. Warrant Arrest 06/04/ :00: E CENTER AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the Lake Bluff Police Department for a subject in the lobby who was turning herself in on warrant # 15CM1463, Lake Bluff case # Officer took the subject into custody and escorted her back to lock up where she was finger printed and photographed. Subject was able to post the 10% bond amount which was $2,500. A court date of 06/18/15 was issued at 0900 hours in room C-120 at 18 North County, Waukegan IL Animal Complaint 06/04/ :19: OAK AVE / E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officer was dispatched to the area of Oak Avenue and E. Scranton Avenue for a complaint of a dog inside a white car. The caller who did not want to be identified stated that all of the windows were rolled up in the car. Officer arrived on scene and a white colored car was pulling away from the curb and left the area. Officer observed no other white colored car in the area. Found Property 06/04/ :38: MAWMAN AVE Narrative: A complainant responded to the Public Safety Building to turn in a man's brown leather wallet that he had found in the 600 block of Mawman Avenue. Officer checked the contents of the wallet and located a valid Illinois driver's license and a fraudulent driver's license. Officer responded to the address on the DL and located the 18 year old male owner of the fake ID. The 18 year old male was transported to the Public Safety Building where he was advised of the possible charges for possessing a fraudulent ID. Officer did not charge the male with a crime and released him from custody. The ID was confiscated and destroyed. Ambulance Assist 06/04/ :48: SHORE ACRES DR Narrative: Officer responded to the 1700 block of Shore Acres Drive for a male with a medical issue. Lake Bluff Fire Department and Lake Forest Ambulance 421 responded to the scene. Ambulance 421 transported the patient to Lake Forest Hospital.
6 Public Health and Safety 06/04/ :26: ROCKLAND RD / SHAGBARK RD Narrative: Officer observed the traffic lights to be flashing red at the intersection of Shagbark Road and Rt Dispatch notified Meade. Animal Complaint 06/04/ :01: E PROSPECT AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 100 block of East Prospect Avenue for a report of a baby deer in the yard. Officer observed there were two baby deer in the immediate area. Officer observed the mother deer was hiding just out of sight. Officer relocated the deer from the yard into the wooded area near the mother. Public Health and Safety 06/04/ :54: PARK AVE / N MCKINLEY RD Narrative: Officer checked the bicycle path north of the train depot for a report from Lake Forest PD that a tree may be down on the path. Officer located a tree that was partially hanging over the bicycle path. Officer contacted on call Public Works. Animal Found 06/04/ :54: SUNRISE AVE Narrative: Officer responded to Sunrise Beach for a report of a brown colored dog running at large. Officer met with beach security who had the dog. The owner of the dog responded to the beach to claim the animal. A verbal warning was issued for dog at large. Ambulance Assist 06/04/ :52: PHILLIP CT Narrative: Officer responded to the 100 block of Philip Court for a report of an injury. Officer arrived on scene and Lake Bluff, Lake Forest and Knollwood Fire Departments responded with ambulance #421. The patient was transported to Lake Forest Hospital. No further police assistance required. Traffic Problem 06/04/ :04: W WASHINGTON AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the area of the the 300 block of West Washington Avenue for a report of cars driving fast down the roadway. Officer met with the complainant who advised cars were speeding in front of her residence and she was concerned. Officer observed no traffic violations or issues while on scene; parents were picking up their children from a graduation party at the Rec Center. Officer observed no irregularities and cleared. Domestic 06/04/ :26: WINCHESTER CT Narrative: Officers responded to the 300 block of Winchester Court for a domestic disturbance. Alarm Business 06/05/ :13: S WAUKEGAN RD Narrative: Officers responded to the 200 block of S/ Waukegan Rd for an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival officers met with employees who stated the alarm was accidental.
7 Lock Out 06/05/ :29: W SANCTUARY LN Narrative: Officer responded to the block of Sanctuary Lane for an auto lockout. Upon arrival the waiver was signed and entry was gained. Alarm Business 06/05/ :41: SHERWOOD DR Narrative: Officer responded to the 900 block of Sherwood Drive for an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival officer met with an employee and verified the activation was accidental. Public Health and Safety 06/05/ :31: ROCKLAND RD / SKOKIE HWY Narrative: Officer responded to the Route 176 train crossing for a report of the crossing gates malfunctioning. Upon arrival officer observed the gates to be functioning properly. Suspicious Person 06/05/ :57: GREEN BAY RD Narrative: Officer responded to Green Bay Road south of Route 176 for a suspicious person. The refused complainant stated the subject was walking northbound, and appeared to be writing down license plates. Officer made contact with the subject who stated he was checking residences for hail damage. Harassment 06/05/ :56: E. CENTER AVE Narrative: Complainant responded to the Public Safety Building requesting assistance with harrassing s and text messages from an ex-girlfriend. Accidental Damage to Property 06/05/ :21: GREEN BAY RD Narrative: A resident came to the PSB to report the passenger side tail light had been broken on her vehicle. The subject did not know when the tail light was broken, but noticed it this morning Accident Property Damage 06/05/ :10: E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the block of East Scranton Avenue for a two vehicle property damage crash. Formal report taken. Assist Other Agency 06/05/ :57: E SHERIDAN PL / VINCENT CT Narrative: Officer responded to the area of East Sheridan Place at Vincent Court for a report that the "do not enter" signs were still down in the roadway since school let out. Officer secured the post signs and returned the street sign from the road to the Middle School east parking lot. Alarm Residential 06/05/ :21: E BLODGETT AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 300 block of E Blodgett Ave for an activated burglar alarm coming from the front door. Upon Officer arrival, Officer met with the homeowner who stated she forgot she had set the alarm prior to her leaving the residence. Officer observed no irregularities and cleared.
8 Found Property 06/05/ :09: E SCRANTON AVE / E CENTER AVE Narrative: An officer found a Sunrise Beach Pass #0436 at the Village Green, E.Center Ave/Scranton Ave. Officer entered the beach pass in the found property book and placed it in the found property closet. Found Property 06/05/ :12: E CENTER AVE / E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officer took a walk-in found property case at the Lake Bluff PSB. Three boys stated they found a blue Apple Iphone on the bench the block of E. Center Ave. As entering the I-phone into the found property log, the owner of the phone came into the PSB to claim his property. Suspicious Person 06/05/ :51: S WAUKEGAN RD / ALBRECHT DR Narrative: Officer responded to the area of Albrecht Drive at Route 43 for a report of a subject riding down the street on a bicycle. The complainant thought it was suspicious, but could not articulate why it was suspicious. Officer checked the area, the subject was gone prior to officers arrival. Alarm Business 06/05/ :49: SHORE ACRES DR Narrative: Officer responded to the 1600 block of Shoreacres Road for an activated burglar alarm. Officer met with an employee on site who set the alarm off in error. No police assistance was required and officers cleared. Suspicious Person 06/06/ :48: E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officers responded to the 100 block of East Scranton for a report of a suspicious person. The complainant stated that a male stated that he wanted to come in while trying to open her door and stated his name was "James". The complainant stated that when she told him she was calling the police he stopped knocking at the door. The complainant could provide no description other that the male sounded young possibly in his 20's. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone. Officer met with the complainant and advised her of the findings. Driving Complaint 06/06/ :11: S WAUKEGAN RD Narrative: Officer responded to the area of Rt. 176 east bound from Rt. 43 for a report of an erratic driver. Officer spoke to the complainant via telephone who stated the driver cut her off while on Rt. 176 and was last scene north bound Rt. 43 driving a silver colored Volkswagen GTI. Officer checked the area and the vehicle was already out of Lake Bluff Police limits. The complainant did not wish to press charges. Alarm Business 06/06/ :43: NORTH SHORE DR Narrative: Officer responded to the 900 block of North Shore Drive and verified with an employee that an activated burglar alarm was accidental. Ambulance Assist 06/06/ :21: E SHERIDAN RD Narrative: Officer responded to the 300 block of East Sheridan Road for a female with a medical issue. Lake Forest and Lake Bluff fire departments responded. Ambulance A-421 transported the subject to Lake Forest Hospital. Officer verified with the ambulance crew no further police assistance was needed, and all units cleared.
9 Citizen Assist 06/06/ :08: SKOKIE HWY Narrative: Officer responded to the 400 block of Skokie Highway to assist with a VIN inspection on a 2012 vehicle being sold and titled to a customer from the state of Ohio. Officer completed all paper work. Lock Out 06/06/ :10: EVANSTON AVE Narrative: Officer assisted with a lock out. Fraud 06/06/ :37: E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: A resident came to the PSB to report unauthorized charges on her debit/credit card. Citizen Assist 06/06/ :14: ROCKLAND RD Narrative: Officer responded to the 700 block of Rockland Road to assist with a VIN inspection on a 2011 Hyundai that was being sold and titled to a resident from the state of Ohio. Officer completed the proper forms Animal Complaint 06/06/ :44: SUNRISE AVE Narrative: Officer responded to the 600 block of Sunrise Avenue to provide information on animal removal. Officer met with the homeowner, and provided business cards for animal removal services. Alarm Business 06/06/ :40: SHERIDAN RD Narrative: Officer responded to the 600 block of Sheridan Road for an activated burglar alarm. Officer checked the exterior and found to be secure. Officer checked the interior and observed no irregularities. Assist Fire 06/06/ :15: WEATHERFORD CT Narrative: Officer responded with the Lake Bluff Fire Department to the 300 block of Weatherford Court to assist with a non symptomatic carbon monoxide detector activation. Lake Bluff Fire Department located an alarm with spent batteries. The batteries were replaced and no other signs of trouble were noted. Intoxicated Person / Arrest 06/06/ :59: E SCRANTON AVE Narrative: Officers responded to the area of East Scranton Avenue and Walnut Avenue for a report of an intoxicated person entering a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and located the subject sitting in the drivers seat of her vehicle parked in the crosswalk and parking partially in the roadway.
