1 Maynard Police Department Monthly Report November 2017 Mark Dubois Chief of Police
2 Incidents James Banatoski was sworn in as a Special Police Officer. Congratulations James, and welcome aboard! Lieutenant Noble assisted the Wayland Police Department with their promotional process for a Sergeant position. On November 4 th, Officers responded to Old Marlboro Road for a report of potentially intoxicated individuals outside of a residence. Upon arrival, it was determined to be an underage drinking party. The legal guardians of the juveniles that were at the party were contacted, and the matter was dealt with accordingly. On November 10 th, Officer Davoll attempted to conduct traffic stop on a motorcycle with no license plate. The operator did not stop, and fled the area. The description and last known location was provided to surrounding cities and towns. Through a joint effort of surrounding Police Departments, the motorcycle and operator were located. A citation and summons were issued.
3 Community Outreach Officers participated in No Shave November, raising funds for the Home Base Program. Over 60 Police Departments, including Maynard, participated raising over $117,000 to support the mission to heal the invisible wounds for Veterans and their families. Lieutenant Noble and Sergeant Jones were able to attend the ceremony at Fenway Park. Lieutenant Noble, Detective Sweeney, Officer Manchuso and Officer Ruggiero spoke in front of the School Committee about the collaborations between MPD and the schools. The Beacon Villager featured an article highlighting all of the community outreach done by the Maynard Police Department. We thank the Beacon Villager for such a wonderful article, it s always a pleasure being able to interact with the community in such a positive manner. Please see the article link below! The Maynard Police Relief Association, and the Maynard Fire Relief Association assumed the responsibilities of the Maynard Christmas Parade. The planning took place throughout November.
