New Brunswick's rate of 10.2 per cent was 0.3 of a percentage point higher then last month and was 0.1 of a percentage point higher when compared to the same month last year. THE NEW BRUNSWICK LABOUR FORCE New Brunswick s labour force was 384,800 in March. This was an increase of 900 over the previous month, but was a decrease of 8,700 over the same month last year. UNEMPLOYMENT IN NEW BRUNSWICK There were 39,400 people unemployed and seeking work in March. This was 1,500 more than the previous month but was 300 less than the same month last year. Page 3

4 % THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN NEW BRUNSWICK New Brunswick s unemployment rate of 10.2 per cent in March was 0.3 of a percentage point higher than the previous month and was 0.1 of a percentage point higher than the same month last year.
