Our mission is Christianity in Action Caring for the body, mind and spirit of our patients, colleagues, community and ourselves. San Education, a department of Sydney Adventist Hospital, provides a comprehensive education program designed to support both the needs of the hospital staff and members of the wider community. To enhance and support this department, a separate entity called San College of Education operates as a fully functioning Registered Training Organisation (RTO). The RTO offers specific, nationally recognised Training Packages, Qualifications, Courses and individual Units of Competency. If you re looking to upgrade your skills in the Health Care industry or interested in community health issues, San Education offers a broad range of relevant courses, workshops and conferences. Certificates and statements of attainment are provided for portfolios, and one CPD (Continuing Professional Development) point is awarded for health professionals for every hour of instruction.
4 Welcome to the Conference On behalf of the Sydney Adventist Hospital s Education and Wound Management teams, I would like to welcome you to this event. The Bi-annual Sydney Adventist Hospital Wound Conference has developed into a major forum where clinicians from all the domains of health care can meet and learn from nationally and internationally renowned wound management experts. The Conference program is designed to offer information which is directly applicable to the clinical setting, allowing medical, nursing and allied health delegates to immediately enhance their wound care practice within their workplace. The Conference is also strongly supported by the wound product industry. I am grateful for their involvement and their willingness to share new and updated information on their products and devices. They provide clinicians with the tools of our trade. Their input ensures that we are best placed to use these tools for our patient s best interests. The Conference is also a great opportunity to extend your network of contacts, to share your challenges and aspirations, and to expand your clinical horizons. Enjoy the day.
