3 THE AGENDA Thursday, February 15 (con t.) frequently described shift from volume to value. It was supposed to be here by now. Yet in fact, our reimbursement model has only shifted on the edges. This presentation will advance a set of explanations as to why progress has been slow, and suggest a path forward despite the uncertain timing of payment transformation. 10:45-11:00 a.m. Break 11:00 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Re-Examining Fear and Anxiety in a Modern World Kristen Ulmer, former world famous extreme skier and current author, thought leader and fear specialist Most would agree, the country is currently struggling with chronic anxiety and fear (sometimes rational, sometimes not). And despite advancements in various treatments and medications, these problems only seem to be getting worse. Why, with so many advancements, are these problems only getting worse? Perhaps it is time to explore something completely new something that doesn t come from another doctor, therapist or scientist, but rather from a professional extreme athlete who was considered fearless for over a decade. Thought leader Kristen Ulmer was recognized as the best woman extreme skier in the world for 12 years, and is now author of the Amazon best-seller The Art of Fear. Why Conquering Fear Won t Work and What to Do Instead. In this presentation, she will take you on a facilitated adventure to explore the cause of persistent, irrational anxiety and/or fear. She will help you experience a fascinating, never-considered shift in approach that ultimately helps turn fear from a hinderance into one of your greatest assets and allies. 12:15-1:30 p.m. Luncheon Buffet Balsam, Spruce & Juniper Rooms 6:00-7:00 p.m. Reception Slider s Restaurant 7:00-8:30 p.m. Dinner Banquet Balsam, Spruce & Juniper Rooms 8:30-9:30 p.m. Entertainment: Comedian Michael Petit As a 30-year entertainment professional, Michael Petit s unbridled energy is infectious and hilarious. After moving to Hollywood and performing as a regular at the legendary Comedy Store, as well as performances in Las Vegas, Michael s show is a must see for those who enjoy being entertained. With numerous TV appearances on Comedy Central, Michael always hits the stage with lightning-quick improv and a steady diet of impressions that audiences love!
