22 gradireland National Student Challenge More on Check out the challenge for yourself at gradireland.com/challenge Now in its fourth year, the National Student Challenge is a unique event from gradireland. It combines online assessment of the business acumen of students in the top universities in Ireland with Final Day event-based challenges in order to identify and recognise Ireland s brightest and most able undergraduates. The students who take part in the online assessment are ranked on an overall leaderboard. The top 60 students then progress to a Final Day contest where they complete a series of challenges which are created in conjunction with cut-e and which reflect partner companies recruitment criteria and core competencies. The overall winning students receive cash prizes and each challenge also produces its own individual winner. It s great to see employers supporting this type of competition and getting some engagement with students. That s probably the most important thing.
