2 CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION VENUE Ulumbarra Theatre Gaol Road Bendigo, Victoria COMPETITION RULES Competition is run in accordance with the rules and regulations outlined in the current National Technical Regulations Part B. This is accessible via the GA Website TRAVEL & EVENT DATES 17 th September 21 st September Dates above include the following: Travel Dates Arrival & Departure Dates Podium Training - International CLOSING PARTY FUNCTION A closing party for all aerobics athletes and officials will be held on Sunday 20th September. This will be held upstairs at the Ulumbarra theatre and will commence once competition has finished at around 9:00pm and finish at 11:30pm. All tickets are $35 each and will be charged to each State Team Member in attendance. GA NEW EVENT WEBSITE For all information regarding Tickets, Merchandise, Photos, Schedules and Results visit the official Gymnastics Australia Event Website. ausgymnasticschamps.com.au EVENT MEDICAL PERSONNEL During competition and training, a Gymnastics Australia appointed doctor and/or physiotherapist will be in attendance. For further medical assistance outside of competition & training times, the GA medical team will seek & facilitate medical appointments at an appropriate medical centre. If you have a competing athlete under 18, your Team Manager may contact you if there are any concerns if medical attention is required. PHOTOGRAPHY Gymnastics Australia has partnered with WinkiPoP Media who will be at Hisense Arena for the duration of the event. Gymnastics Australia is working closely with WinkiPoP Media to capture every moment of the event. WinkiPoP Media have a range of products available to gymnastics teams, athletes and parents. The National Office are mindful of our duty of care to our members and the Photography Policy will be implemented. 3 ACCEPTANCE OF STATE TEAM POSITION To accept a position on the QLD State Team athletes must action the following: Complete & Sign State Team Position of Acceptance Form Pay Deposit of $ Complete all QLD State Team Forms Online and upload all documents by 5:00pm on Monday 10 th August. QLD PERSONNEL All GQ State Team Athletes travel with the following personnel! HOD, Team Manager, Head Coach, Team Coaches, Chaperones. Some Judges and additional personnel also travel with various teams. STRAPPING TAPE All athletes MUST bring their own supply of medical strapping tape. Coaches do not have a supply. NO TAPE - NO STRAPPING STATE TEAM POLICIES & BY LAWS All State Team Members are expected to read and abide by the following State Team Polices & By Laws: Athlete Selection Policy as per 2015 Gymsport Regulations for each discipline Officials Selection Policy as per 2015 Gymsport Regulations for each discipline Grievance By Law Discipline & Appeals By Law MPP Appendix B - Roles Specific Codes of Conduct - GQPOL01 Social Media Acceptable Use Policy - GQPOL06 Drug & Alcohol Management Policy - GQPOL15 State Team Alcohol Agreement STP01 STATE TEAM MEETINGS COMPULSORY State Team Meetings will be held after each State Team Announcement. All team members including officials MUST attend these meetings. If athletes are U18 years a parent must be in attendance with the athlete at these meetings. 4 ONLINE TEAM FORMS & UNIFORMS All QLD State Team Members including officials seeking State Team Selection MUST complete all forms Online At Gymsports State Team Page. All QLD State Team Members including officials MUST submit uniform orders Online with payment once selected in the QLD Team: QLD Team Uniform Order Online from KUKRI Link: GK LEOTARDS: Podium Leotard Form must be downloaded from the GQ Website, completed and returned to GK Leotards by due date. TRAVEL POLICY The Queensland Team for Aerobics will be travelling under State Team Travel Policy B: The GQ Office arranges your accommodation, food and ground transport from Hotel to Competition each day while in Camp. The team commences at the accommodation on 17 th September at 2pm at the hotel (TBA) in Bendigo. Athletes in AeroSchools will need to arrange arrival times with GQ Office as this event will be running at the same time. You NEED to book your own flights and transport through to Bendigo. MEALS All team meals are arranged through the GQ office. Athletes with special requirements are asked to complete their details on the State Team Forms. All meals will be catered & prepared by the QLD Catering Team. TRAVELLING & STAYING AS A TEAM ACCOMMODATION All QLD State Team Members for Aerobics will stay together at the team accommodation booked by GQ Two Hotels have been booked as we do not know the size of the team. Once team has been finalised the hotels will be finalised and will be published in Newsletter #2 Please note that whilst families are encouraged to come and support the athletes, they are not permitted to stay at the same accommodation. INDICATIVE COSTS Indicative costs have been estimated from the Provisional Numbers entered into this Event and will be no more than this amount. Indicative Cost: $ 1, (4 night package) No flights included in this cost Once the QLD Team has been selected & all athletes & officials have accepted their positions by completing State Team Paperwork & paying the Deposit of $800.00, the costs will be updated and published in Newsletter #2. 4

5 UNIFORM REQUIRMENTS All state Team Members are required to wear the correct Queensland Uniform during travel to, from and whilst at the championships. Lycra Podium Uniform are supplied by GK Leotards and must be ordered by completing form and ing to QLD Team Uniform is supplied by KUKRI and listed below are the compulsory items for team members: All Athletes: Retro Tracksuit Jacket Retro Tracksuit Pants Polo Shirt Training T-Shirt Hoodie with Full Zip Team Laptop Backpack All Coaches & Team Managers: Retro Tracksuit Jacket Retro Tracksuit Pants Polo Shirt Hoodie with Full Zip Team Laptop Backpack Training T-Shirt (Optional) Chaperones & Catering Team: Polo Shirt Hoodie with Full Zip Judges: (No compulsory team uniform) Polo & Hoodie are available to purchase Uniforms must be tried on for correct sizing at State Team Meetings. All Uniforms MUST be ordered Online with payment at time of order. Online Shop will open on 10 th August. Password will be given to QLD Team Members once named in the State Team. LOOKING SMART STATE TEAM MEETINGS Aerobic meetings will be held at Ormiston College. GK Leotards and KUKRI uniforms will be available to try on for correct sizing's at these meetings. In Confirm Address Addressee, enter as athletes name discipline as examples below: George Jones - AER Athlete or Mary Jones AER Official Uniforms if being delivered will be to the address provided by you, so make sure it is correct. If collecting from the store you will contacted by KUKRI when your order is ready for collection so make sure you include a phone number that you can be contacted on during working hours to make the process easy. KUKRI is not a shop so fittings are not available in store. Please do not turn up expecting to try and fit items to make sure they still fit before collecting, as you will be disappointed when told this is not an option. Orders will be packed in the order that they are placed online. Deliveries will be posted and orders to be collected will be contacted once they are ready. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE PHONE CALL TO SAY YOUR UNIFORM IS READY, DO NOT TURN UP JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE IN THE AREA. 5
