11 Valley Transportation Plan (VTP) Countywide Long-range Transportation Plan for Santa Clara County As the CMA for Santa Clara County, VTA is required to develop the plan Feeds into the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) Updated regularly to coincide with the update of the RTP
12 What VTP Does Provides a planning framework for developing and delivering transportation projects and programs over the 25-year life of the plan Identifies sources and amounts of funding reasonably expected to be available over the life of the plan VTP 2040 is not a programming document. It does not include precise schedules for implementation and does not make assumptions regarding financing costs that may be needed to implement specific projects in specific years
